Adwin Neutral Newbie November 15, 2007 Share November 15, 2007 Recently surprised at the number of white hairs growing at an alarming rate on my head. Decided to do some diy hair dyeing. Can someone recommend what colour and what brand of hair dye to use? Thanks. ↡ Advertisement
Slowmo Clutched November 15, 2007 Share November 15, 2007 white or black. one way is to have shorter hairstyle, so the white hairs don't stand out that much.

Apollo 1st Gear November 15, 2007 Share November 15, 2007 depends on age... i would say No. 4 and higher is the color to look for. No 1 is extreme black. No 4 is near to brown. but if you can afford it, let the hair salon do it for you becos even distribution is import else look like sh1t esp with lower no color. Beei 1st Gear November 15, 2007 Share November 15, 2007 if first time, better dye at salon.. my mother dye herself and was not evenly distributed even though she put the dye over her head.. but if u dye black, then i think can diy, no problem.. Mach Clutched November 15, 2007 Share November 15, 2007 Black also got several shades....generally best to avoid the super-black black esp if you are older, cos thats a sure give away that its fake. There are shades like "natural black", which are more natural looking
Ultramega 1st Gear November 15, 2007 Share November 15, 2007 i also have this problem. my hair stylist advised me that if the objective is to cover white hair, avoid brown (unless super dark brown) cos some shades of brown turns white hair golden making your hair look even worse. sometimes the golden hair even more obvious than white hair. he recommended super dark blue which he said covers white very well and will look black except when under certain light conditions. Chisiang 2nd Gear November 16, 2007 Share November 16, 2007 FYI, white hair cannot be covered by normal salon hair dye. There's however a new colour range from L'Oreal that is able to cover grey hair with brown shades and is good! I think it's called Margi ash/brown. Go Kimage school @ Funan 5th floor to do very cheap. $25 iirc. a lot of auntie and uncle go there to cover grey hair. And also, stupid SAF charge $25 to dye hair black also last time go reservist still got some highlight colour then RSM ask go dye black. It's only a few strand still got colour but the barber still charge $25 KNNB
