Nightjar 1st Gear December 4, 2007 Share December 4, 2007 Although the look is boring, it comes with a new dual vvt-i engine which will greatly improve fuel efficiency. This new model should sell well...

Carseeker Neutral Newbie December 4, 2007 Share December 4, 2007 A sedan would still be able to fetch 6 pax from point A to B, Singapore is small, half an hour can go from Jurong to Airport already. I also have 3 kids, sometime I fetch my family to Changi Airport for dinner, 1 Adult in front, 3 Adults behind and 3 Kids sitting on their laps (thanks to my car has a good leg room), no complain from them. Some more I still got the boot for stroller and etc.. Better then driving a MPV because how often you drive the whole family out ? but you drive to work with your car everyday. Imaging driving a MPV alone on the road the whole day, the FC is terrible. On the other hand, drive a sedan around the whole day, FC is still good, and occasionally drive the whole family out, the car still serve you well. Elfenstar 3rd Gear December 4, 2007 Share December 4, 2007 the 2008 corolla will be 60mm wider than current altis and 10mm wider than the new civic. Bro, I hope you're refering to the interior width and not the vehicle width. An increase in the latter does not always mean an increase in the former. Speed_ong Clutched December 4, 2007 Share December 4, 2007 (edited) Latest Corolla Altis in Taiwan http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/505191 Looks quite spacious. But interior looks like Axio. But think its longer and wider than Axio. Edited December 4, 2007 by Speed_ong
Carseeker Neutral Newbie December 4, 2007 Share December 4, 2007 Army policy, you can do anything but don't get caught. I believe some also fetch 4 people behind just that not often. I don't believe just because one person extra, you ask him to take taxi home alone. Squeeze abit still will fetch all of them back home. Some more now a day the windows all tinted, can
Charlieliu Neutral Newbie December 4, 2007 Share December 4, 2007 I have a wife, 3 kids and a maid. Driving an Altis. No problems because maid often stay at home to do housework when we are out. If need to drive all out, young daughter sit on her lap. Hence it is a matter of how deep the wallet is. Want to save $ for children's education, got to squeeze a bit lor. Altis is powerful enough to carry all our weight.
Shern25 2nd Gear December 4, 2007 Author Share December 4, 2007 you speak my mind, though the main reason why i a bit cannot accept MPV is the look (stream though try to look like a sedan still very ugly to me; rather get wish which is more spacious). also i feel abit funny to drive a 7 seater when most of the time i am only 1 person in the car. parking also a bit challenging. i am drving the old vios so really need to expand. I have a double tramp (the one that can seat in 2 babies) and no way I can put in a MPV unless both seats are down (unless i get the very big MPVs which is out of my budget). But on the other hand, my 3 babies will grow up and the tramp will no longer be needed. And it will be more fun for my boys in MPV as there are 2 back rows for them to choose, and moving to the front seat also easily accessible. Really a lot to consider. Anywhere, I have set next year feb to be the monthI will need to make the final choice, hope by then the new corolla is out.
Carseeker Neutral Newbie December 5, 2007 Share December 5, 2007 I also in the same situation as you, eventually I settled on Sedan because my kids are still young and they will not seat by themselves, even with a car seat, they still need someone to look after, so if there are two rolls behind, its difficult for my wife to look after them, Sedan is still a better choice. Anyway after 3 to 5 years when my kids grow up, then I change to another ride, by then no one know what will happen, maybe bigger Sedan will come out or MPV is more affordable
Keithpapa Neutral Newbie December 5, 2007 Share December 5, 2007 Does Axio offer good legroom? It look kind of cramp too. But it has flat floor design right? think so. Anyway, I saw new altis oversea. Looks better than the picture. Did not have the opportunity to sit inside then. Really look like camry.
