The steering joint is defective.

I changed mine recently.

 

This 'click' sound appears intermittently but it's not the normal clicking sound when you

turn your steering wheel. It is esp prominent when you turn it when about to move off

from a stationery position.

I been hearing this click click sound occasionally on my steering wheel when i steer and yesterdat i realise it only occurs when i on the left/right indicators. Can anyone confirm this happen to their car too? If possible pls state the make/model u driving.

Me driving Latio also. Sometimes will hear this click click when I turn the steering wheel but never notice if it only occurs if left/right indicators are on. Although I did not highlight to AD when I go for servicing, the checks did not turn up anything funny though my rear brakes do give out a soft whiny sound when I do a slow braking. Brake tested during last servicing. They found nothing wrong.

 

I driving the IS250.. Hmm...seems like most of guys think its normal. Thanks so much for the info, let me have a better peace of mind. But i think i wanna go back to borneo to test drive the IS to confirm the issue..haha. Very kiasu of me

Precisely that is why I ask him to go back to the car company to have it check out, as they will be giving him the most honest and relavant answers.

 

The authorised car maintenace guy will give the accurate answer, rather than rely on forums answers.

 

Not true. I have a minor problem with my ride. forummers who experienced the same thing tell me the fault lies with 1 component. ask me go change.

 

went to AD, told them to problem and to change that specific component.

AD say it isn't do something else. went back AD workshop 3x to fix problem. until the last appt, they finally change the said component. Since then problem resolved

 

so not necessary AD always accurate.

FYI, camry also seems to have this issue.

 

My dad and some of his clients with the latest thai camry also face this issue. warranty covers it btw

 

seems like a batch problem here. cos it's not an isolated case
