carb engine even though quite extinct, but in my opinion it is actually in no way inferior to a ecu engine. infact carb engine when well-tuned is actually more responsive than a ecu-engine

late 80s/early 90s Starlets/ Concertos running normal carb engines can easily smoke the crap out of his A186, and we are not even talking about race-tuned twin-carb/ weber carb monsters!! [gossip]

I remembered reading from a car mag about 01 bhp : 1cc ratio on how much power is being harvested from the engine by individual country's carmakers and that was the ratio for production cars.

I dun mean other things, dun start anything. thumbsup.gif

Avante is already very good le. If I say Hyundai Stellar? What comes to your mind? thumbsup.gif

I believe the Koreans will definitely catch up in time to come. Just think that decades ago, the best components were made in USA. Japanese components were deemed cheap, unreliable & unrefined. Today, the tables have turned & the Japanese are leaders in almost every industry. I believe that the Koreans will have their day too. Compare a 1987 Hyundai Stellar Prima 2.0 & a 2004 NF Sonata 2.0. The Koreans' progress in less than 2 decades is astounding. [thumbsup]

I did alot but spent a bomb too.

I am not an expert on modding.

Intercooler is a must (to me), it cools the pressured air.

Bars are a measurement of Boost PSi...force of the pressure...etc.

can share with u in private all the things that I had done. thumbsup.gif

A168 is too exclusive for me.. engine too powerful.. pick up too fast, FC too good.. cannot afford it..

I better change to another car like civic 1.8 and let schoolboy drift jiak me.. then he can come in and boost..thumbsup.gif

if you rmb the 1st gen RX-7 born in 1984. i rmb when i was young v.young my dad own 1. it's a rare gem at that time. they have this thing call the turbo wiber and the wiber. use it as a replacment to carburetter. and once he change it to a turbo wiber + the rotary. i tell u. the feeling is like a intergra type R at that time. i still have that wiber at home. i wonder if it can fit into the 168? sure smoke alot of cars de. ???

erm.. i never play turbo yet not very sure la.. haha!

but surely upsize your intercooler, upsize turbo, then maybe strengthen your block and upsize your injectors?

Given the 190hp, I believe already includes uprated fuel pump, injectors, turbine, intercooler, polished cylinder head, probably upgraded pistons & rings, lightened crankshaft, head gasket & probably standalone ECU.
