Kyojin 1st Gear December 19, 2007 Share December 19, 2007 these are not real "coilovers" as we know it (D2, BC Racing, Tein). they are TRD absorbers (made by KYB) with coil springs. if the springs are "kg/mm" brand (looks like) then it's quite a good deal. try to get the guy to give you the part numbers i can see "48530-EP" but the last three numbers after the EP will tell you exactly which struts they are. Kyojin 1st Gear December 19, 2007 Share December 19, 2007 how bro? u still trying to sell ur Teins?
Kyojin 1st Gear December 20, 2007 Share December 20, 2007 checked with seller. item is in KL. so have to either go up to collect or pay good $$ for shipping/import tax. he will be sending me more shots of the model numbers on Friday.
So_nice 6th Gear December 20, 2007 Author Share December 20, 2007 do they offer good stability to the car? adjustable/repairable? well..still haf to fix up the wear and tear 1st!
Kyojin 1st Gear December 20, 2007 Share December 20, 2007 unlike true coilovers, these struts cannot really be reconditioned. if they are gone, you will have to replace the internals or buy new ones. depends on the model numbers, then i can say if they are adjustable. but if they can be adjusted, will only be hard/soft. no high/low. all suspension will be stable la. even stock is stable. it's one of those things that you will like it or not. feeling is a very subjective matter. I like a firm ride, but you may not. u want mine? hard/soft adjustables for both front and rear. http://www.mycarforum.com/forum/S-Team_(St...nsion_P2144529/ price can be neg'd for fellow STEAM buddy. Ahloong Neutral Newbie December 20, 2007 Share December 20, 2007 TRD, Tein, etc... are a reputable brands. mostly on jap cars. i used tein on my ex-ride honda jazz and now looking also (waiting for Bonus) tein for my new ride Nissan Latio Sport
Elfenstar 3rd Gear December 20, 2007 Share December 20, 2007 I've got ep82 TRD's on the sera... how come i can't see the adjustment knobs on the rear dampers??? They're ok. I reckon even though there's adjustment on them, the standard KYB's now are a much better damper. ↡ Advertisement
