I heard connecting the alternator +ve to the battery +ve will give some improvement. But which part is the alternator +ve? [dizzy]

i agree with u. when i ground my extractor (as advice by a friend), that piece of metal is so hot. i afraid it transfer the heat to my cable and melt it or what.... or transfer the heat to battery.... then [bounce1] ... but now ok... ran for more then a week. checking my cables every 2 days. still ok....

Grounding of the extractor will not make much difference to performance. In fact all electrical parts of the car are already grounded through its chasis but due to galvanising of the metal parts may have rob the parts and so -ve connection may not be good. Some cars may not feel any difference whereas others have.

thats what i had thought so too. as there ain't any electrical part at the extractor part. but someone told me he did his extractor and experience difference... so i just try loh. somemore quite simple to complete this task.

i read somewhere (can't remember) that the exhaust gas when passing thru the extractor will generate some kinds of .... "electric".... and some how will eat away some power. thus ground that to solve this problem.
