Dear Abalone Fans,

Just a piece of advise , when buying abalone of any brands , do look for the difference between Nett Weight (Which is normally 425gm) and Drain weight (Depends on brand) . That will give you a clearer view of how much it cost per gm .

Think you are wrong on the Net & Drained weight.

Drained Weight is the weight of the Abalone & Brine Solution (normally 425 gm)

Net Weight is the weight of the Abalone only which can range from 150 to 220gm.

1 Can can contain 1pc, 1.5pc or even 2pcs for the total weightage.

The higher price is for single big pc and lower one for smaller single pc or combination of smaller pcs.

Abalone prices in ascending order are normally Philipine (lowest cost), New Zealand, Australia, Chile, Mexico (most ex)

Correct me if I'm wrong.
