Viviobluerex Clutched February 11, 2008 Share February 11, 2008 Nothing wrong with a Scooby lah.... At least it got the full functions of a saloon car with a big cap boot. You can always use it as a 2 seater. Just ban passengers like me. So far none of my colleagues had attempt to hitch a ride from my YRV or RX8. YRV i make sure it is always full of stuff and rubbish, my RX8 i bluff them the suicide doors are for show and cannot open so no way anyone is getting into the rear sear. ↡ Advertisement

Mongalai Neutral Newbie February 12, 2008 Share February 12, 2008 For those who are interested to buy RX8, please be mindful that there is a lifespan for its Rotary engine, just like the aircraft engine which need to be replaced every 100,000KM. This information is given by my friend who is driving one too and he told me many drivers will sell it off before it reaches 100,000km cos not cheap to replace entire engine. Not sure about the RX-8, but I don't think that an aircraft needs to change its engine every 100,000KM. Looking at the speed that an aircraft flys, 100,000KM is really very easily achieveable. Engines, usually being one of the most expensive item on an aircraft will really need to be long lasting, surely more than 100,000KM, else it will really be an awfully expensive aircraft to operate.
