Fuel filter

mine is in the fuel tank. does it justify the cost then?

anyway, most likely no need to change it again. the strainer looked damn clean la . by right my FF rated up to 90k but i itchy backside change at abt 50k. so my next round can wait until 140k IF i still driving this car by then.

Your filter type can see the strainer? Or can see inside ah?

 

I've never cut open mine to have a look..... how come yours can tahan so long??? Mine is recommended to change every 40K.

mine is "longlife fuel filter", 90k is according to manual. 50k is backside itchy

 

my strainer is outside. the filter element is inside. the strainer will prevent sucking of larger items, more to prevent the filter element from clogging with the big stuff i guess.

 

i "play" with outboard motor before. the strainer usually has some small particles. mine had none. i'm sure 50k for me is overkill (given my mfg recommended).

some cars like suzuki ignis also filter inside fuel tank
