Their package and installation prices are very expensive so I just bought the Camera from him, if you meet up with him, he will demo the cybercam system to you and he have 2 camera, 1 small and 1 big and both are IR capable.

in total darkness, then the IR led will be on right? Have u tried how far the IR leds will shine? The 0 lux cams that I've tried can shine just a short distance beyond the bonnet, any further and it's pitch dark. Even the people walking in front of the bonnet, u can't make out their face properly, so not so good for identification if they vandalise yr car.

but when u're driving in streetlit roads, then it's a different story.

So far there is no good IR Camera which can view all parts of picture clearly in total darkness as IR only shine till a certain angle but parking in multi-storey should not be a problem as there is lightings around. It will switch to IR B/W mode when there is insufficient lightings and it will be colour when there is sufficient lights.

I will post shortly some videos on a normal day and in multi-storey carpark.

Do u have any clips in the car park that shows people passing by your car, captured in motion detection mode?

The specs are very poor as compared to the combination of my setup.

Camera is not IR capable, SD card only support up to 2GB, Frame rate only 6fps.

The Camera that I get from Prestige Security is also from China and it support IR. DVR called Secumate supports up to 8GB or even SDHC 8GB SD Card and Frame Rate up to 25fps.

Cost of Damage for DVR is $350 and Camera is $180.

For one-time use, trying to recognise a person that you probably know already, any cheapo ebay camera will do the trick. Bear in mind that IR light shining through glass is usually problematic, and you'd get better results with the camera (or at least the light source) outside the car.

Hi!

Looks like your setup is very ideal for a lot of pple's basic needs for incar security and/or evidence in the event of frontal accident. DO you mind sharing is $350+$180 the total cost of this setup or are there any further costs involved? Where did you get this fixed up or did u DIY?

Thx in advance!
