Mrfastcar Neutral Newbie May 21, 2008 Share May 21, 2008 Hi All, Yesterday I went past the speed camera on the BKE at 99-102 kmh. The camera never flashed, so do you think ill get booked? Even if i did get booked would it be a warning or a summon? ↡ Advertisement
Qpik Supercharged May 21, 2008 Share May 21, 2008 i don't know abt camera on expressway but we did get a warning letter when our car driven by my relative exceeded the speed limit of 70.
Nhrisuzu 1st Gear May 21, 2008 Share May 21, 2008 i think got a few reasons.. 1. ur speedo not accurate(changed rim n tire) 2. u are on the lane furthest away from camera.. 3. no film (possible on speed cam?)
Mrfastcar Neutral Newbie May 21, 2008 Author Share May 21, 2008 Thanks, did the warning letter go on your relatives driving record? Did your relative get caught by a fixed camera or the officers holding the hand held devices? Also how much was the limit exceeded?
Mrfastcar Neutral Newbie May 21, 2008 Author Share May 21, 2008 True, maybe the speedo not accurate.... any idea how much it costs to check that at the workshop? Also I was in the fast lane (lane closest to the camera). I thought that the cameras were digital not film.
Zedzee 1st Gear May 21, 2008 Share May 21, 2008 Usually got flash one, iirc cos last time my friend kenna and there was flash. So likely for your case you didn't get caught. probably ran out of film or like someone said, your speedometer not accurate. you may check here too: https://www.psi.gov.sg/NASApp/tmf/TMFServle...-II&Reload=true
Qpik Supercharged May 21, 2008 Share May 21, 2008 unfortunately, the letter/summons will be issued to the registered owner. caught by fixed camera and he didn't know by how much but judging from the way he drives likely to be 90.

Mrfastcar Neutral Newbie May 21, 2008 Author Share May 21, 2008 I checked but so far only got 1 summon for parking on double yellow lines. Do you know how long TP take to process camera summons? LTA can process the cashcard violations in 3 days.

Mrfastcar Neutral Newbie May 21, 2008 Author Share May 21, 2008 Oh Thanks for the reply and info. Uh the car is a rental from a long term rental agency, so I guess it will be mailed to them right? Will they then tell the TP that I was driving and would the TP then mail me the letter or summon? Or will the "owner" of the vehicle do that? Makes me feal better to note that people speed by 20 kmh and still get a warning.

Mrfastcar Neutral Newbie May 21, 2008 Author Share May 21, 2008 Question: How do you miss a flash? I mean if it flashes and you driving by, its hard to miss right? Also don't the cameras take 2 photos? ↡ Advertisement
