Ahyoo2002 2nd Gear May 25, 2008 Author Share May 25, 2008 1) Unless Hybrid inprove further with lower cost, if not it is not justify for such high price and the saving in FC is not that great (at least to me) 2) CNG is cheap now bc no tax, what if government want to tax? I understand CNG also increse price recently, not too sure how much is the increase. 3) Bio-diesel, also not so good to me as diesel road tax will kill us
Ahyoo2002 2nd Gear May 25, 2008 Author Share May 25, 2008 You sure you want $200 oil? Oil is almost the basic to everything, if it increase, many many other thing will also increase,. The inflation will be sky high if oil hit $

Hi, just curious to know, on what basis do you justify that 6k is a norm salary for most folks? Is it just your own claims/deduction or you work in singapore stat board? Higgsboson Clutched May 25, 2008 Share May 25, 2008 The question to ask is is it within our control? If not, then either one can don't drive his vehicle or adapt to the increase in gas price. In other words, if the increase in price is gradual, there will not be drastic effect on main street real economy no doubt the pain of inflation and higher gas/food price will make some suffer. XLR8 1st Gear May 25, 2008 Share May 25, 2008 There is no such thing as a "norm" when it comes to salary imo. How do one define what is norm and what is below/above the norm? Its too broad a range to justify. Diff income group got diff "norms" that is.

Testa_ross4 Clutched May 26, 2008 Share May 26, 2008 (edited) If staying town how come your petrol bill $1200? Where you work? I stay east and work in west driving 2l car, petrol bill only about $450+. You driving Lambo? Edited May 26, 2008 by Testa_ross4
Hiphiphoray 6th Gear May 26, 2008 Share May 26, 2008 U might laugh now but very soon u will be like us but worse. I like to see how much your govt will subsidise in future oil prices. Ppl will need to buy more fuel cos compared to S'pore, M'sia land mass is big. Unlike S'porean & Thai drivers u got no next door country to buy cheaper fuel. Compare what ppl earn vs the % spent on fuel. I think ppl in M'sia dun fare any better dan ppl living in S'pore. Ppl in M'sia dun have a choice of public transport. Unless u live in the city but dan most of your $$ will go to expensive accomodation. Everyone driving in the world will feel the pinch. Only u will be laughing at non other dan yourself. Ytday's newspaper reported the PM saying they will not be increasing the subsidies petrol costs any time soon. Instead they will focus on preventing "abuse". I think they meant those coming from from spore & thailand bah.
Yaloryalor 5th Gear May 26, 2008 Share May 26, 2008 my current petrol is 1200, if really $3 then will just take mrt, since staying in town 4 min to city hall $1,200 is really a lot! Either you travel a lot or your driving big car with poor FC ! ↡ Advertisement
