Jason,

You want to PM me on the Apollo, it will not worsen fuel consumption but stay the same but you get more torque.

Like the CarWash thingy, I am the old inventor here.

Primara_CVT: Hi, it was your grounding that improve the fuel consumption.

Cool,

I have already PM u regarding the Apollo sometime back...still considering....

SFM guy guarantees that the thing will work as good after (7 years I think) as when you first bought it. Believe it is some grade of magnet that can take the under bonnet heat.

i ask the guy at the roadshow, he told me it wasn't a magnet... anyway i am not a very technical person except for computers... i just like to know how much, then gather some feedback here if it is worth the $$$ ... thumbsup.gif

Really ???? I'm no physics expert, but tell me something else that is not a magnet that has those properties [confused][confused]

Hm... fellow IT industry person ??

Buy those

1) black cable straps ....

2) a sticky heat-resistant tape.

3) Aluminium coil (the easy to bend type)

Coil the fuel line with the aluminium where u intend to put the magnet. Magnet will stick to the aluminium naturally. Tape the magnet and coil together to the fuel line, then use the straps to strap em up. [nod]

bro, aluminium is non-ferrous metal....it does not have iron compound...how to magnetise???

hehehe... me very jia lat at physics...

but i approach the guy.... ask him "excuse, could you tell me how does these magnets work and how many do i need for my car"

his replies... sorry i forgot.... but he was telling it's not a magnet... but a conductor or something ... break fuel into smaller "bits"... blah blah blah.... i just listened as though i understand... laugh.giflaugh.giflaugh.gif

now that you mention it, I do recall someone telling me before about super conductor materials etc... but then, super conductors as far as I know works at sub-zero temperatures and car engine bays are anything but that.

i read wheels asia that 95 is MORE THEN ENOUGH. 98 is actually "overkill" for our engine. something to do with pre-mature detonation. 98 can prevent this more then 95. but not neccessary for most engines.

Think so... most cars these days can go with 95. But if you have sent your car in for tuning, and happen to be running 98 or even V-power sort when you made adjustments to fuel/air mix etc, better to stick with whatever used during that tuning.

money savings....

98 - $1.295/l

95 - $1.213/l

save $0.082/l

1 full tank ard 40l thus save $3.28/40l

1 mth pump ard 4 times thus save $13.12/(40l*4)

1 yr thus save $157.44/(40l*4*12)

worth it?

Well.. $157 can buy you a damned good meal, or some nice accessory for the car. But then if your car has been tuned to operate better under 98, the 'oomph' is missing under 95.

Personally, I've tried the whole range, and find myself stepping harder when I use 95 to get the same pickup because my car has been tuned for 98. So while one tank is cheaper, I get lousier mileage because I rev harder. So in the end, dunno if really got savings or not.

oic. so i gotta check my FCR for coming 3 tanks of fuel... if same or improve then jump for joy.
