since there are some upcoming new Alfisti, just let u guys know about the Alfa wave. it happens to me occasionally. just today, stopped beside a silver 159 near Paya Lebar at the lights. We looked at each other and waved a friendly hi to each other. just a natural instinct and i really think this is a unique thing for Alfa drivers here. not all drivers wave but when it happens, just wave back. another one of those interesting things that comes with Alfa ownership. particularly, for female drivers, don't misunderstand when this happens!

Sorry dude, factory run-in means ??? The SE told me the mileage for the unit I got is like not more than 10 km. Haha. :D

The demo unit costs $109,800.

Bro, factory run in means your engine is run as a standalone uunit before it's installed in your car body [drivingcar]

Just left Leng Kee showroom. Probably taking delivery of the car next week. And I appreciate the SE's patience in this transaction. Apparently I am her first customer here at AR. [cool]

By the way, there are two more demo units left. So anyone who is interested, go pop over soon!

She? Ahhh... New SE... no wonder told you that you can't switch mode when driving. Come down on Friday to join the AROC guys to learn more about your new bella then... lots more 159 these days.

Congrats to you and kelloggs. The demos are good value considering the COE increase.

If you really love cars and driving then you'll enjoy the 159. [thumbsup]

Hi Mojoe, yeah will be signing up for AROC soon. Ya what she said is that it is not advisable to switch from D drive to selespeeds while the car is on the move. Better to come to a stop before the switch. She is also a fan of AR I think. Has an AR GT.

Also there is a facelift version for 159 in the coming weeks I was told. 159 Qv (or is it Qx? [confused] ) Lower suspension setting, black interior lining and red brake. Cheers!

yes, I ordered the white 159 and collected it this morning from Teban !

Drove home at leisurely 70km in auto. Dun like manual n gear change la

when I was at Leng Kee on Wed, saw them moving your metallic grey out to Teban. I was deciding between the two color. Your color looks great under the sun, a good mix between grey n dark brown. Nice, with red seats !

I took white in the end cos I have always wanted a white car but never had one before. Too bad can,t have red seats

Hey Kelloggs, u are the owner of the white one that is housed inside the showroom? That day when I went to test drive, I was told there were three units, the white one and grey one in the showroom and another outside. White was taken. It is gorgeous. With not many options available, I took the other grey one in the showroom. When are you collecting yours?

I agree with you it is a good deal. Feel like asking the SE to let me drive again when I go do paperworks. [:p]

There was a light blue one with red seats available too. I like that a lot but that was test cat with 5000km. So in the end , preferred the showroom one and satisfy my white car desire.

Could be the TI version. That's with HID, sideskirts, lowered suspension, red calipers and 19in rims in full TI specs.

the older selespeed has two versions

On the older 147s, if you use your paddle shift while in city mode, it will override and shut off the city mode

But on the newer 156 JTS, you can shift gears even when in city mode; no overriding

I am not so sure about the alfa GT though, but in my old 156 JTS I just change between city on and off when I am driving.

and at this point the novitec fellow will come and say my gear change is too smooth; any mode is D or city mode [laugh] [laugh] [laugh]

Lol. I didn't know that a white 159 could be so handsome, honestly. When I saw it, I thought I wanted that, just nice as a wedding car! Too late! Ahh I asked to change the red seats to black. Red is nice but I was concerned about colour running off it and the threads becoming dirty later on, which will be a pain to clean. [shakehead]

Speaking of which, other than your car, I have not seen a second white AR!
