Paint coming off

notice some scratched on the bonnet and i tried using the hi-glaz 88 to polish.

 

managed to polish off some the scratches... but.. notice my white application pad had red paint on it.. looks like the paint has come off...

 

so i just put some wax over the polished it.. is it normal ?

 

or is the paint work damaged ?

Maybe you polished that spot for too long or too hard. Hi-Glaze 88 is abrasive and it is capable of removing paint.

 

As long as there is no uneven spot...it should be ok.

Chances is your car has single stage paint, it is very common that there is a paint transfer to the applicator especially when you use products contain cleaners or polish in them. So don worry, I doubt the paint work is damaged .
