Blank msg box appear when click on win explorer

have been getting this irritating blank pop-up box when i click on any of the folder in the win explorer, anyone knows what is the problem. have tried virus scan and found nothing.

Sounds like a spyware to me.

 

You can try spybot to check on it.

virus, spyware, adware, .... is everywhere... no need to go there also ganna one... this is common knowledge

guess u must be a very experience virus receipent to come up with this type of reason...

still got pop up now and then when i click on the directory folder in window explorer (not internet explorer). no message, just yes and no button + a cross sign. have tried bitdefender, spy & bot, avg, ..... but no use...

It's probably in your bookmark... delete it from there..

if not install CCCleaner and run it... cleane all the $hits in your PC

sammyboyforum was not stuck in the history leh. dunno why. only certain websites cannot go off one. all the other websites i went to did not get stuck there leh. thats y i find it funny.

With the pop up box in your background,

Press Ctrl-Alt-Del, click on Processes ...

From the process list, terminate 1 by 1 the suspected processes until the box disappears.

 

Note down the process name that closes the box, then do a search for this filename in your system.

If you can, delete it, if cannot, everytime you restart, repeat the above step to kill the process.

It should stop the box from coming up.
