  1. https://mothership.sg/2020/08/internet-explorer/ Microsoft to end Internet Explorer by Aug. 17, 2021 Tech-giant Microsoft has announced on Aug. 17 that it will gradually stop supporting its web browser Internet Explorer (IE). According to the Microsoft 365 blog, Microsoft Teams web app will stop supporting IE 11 from Nov. 30, 2020. The remaining Microsoft 365 apps and services will stop supporting IE 11 from Aug. 17, 2021, about one year from now. Replacing IE will be the Microsoft Edge, which is more similar to Google Chrome as it is based on Google's Chromium open-source project. This new browser also supports Chrome browser extensions and have the features that you find on Google Chrome. Microsoft users will instead transit to a new Microsoft Edge browser. The Edge browser will be part of the new devices and future Windows feature updates. The Microsoft 365 blog explained that the new Edge browser will provide a better online experience: "Customers have been using IE 11 since 2013 when the online environment was much less sophisticated than the landscape today. Since then, open web standards and newer browsers—like the new Microsoft Edge—have enabled better, more innovative online experiences." Internet Explorer was released 25 years ago, in August 1995. It was once the most-used web browser globally, with 95 per cent user share in 2003. With the rise of other alternatives such as Firefox and Google Chrome, Internet Explorer began losing its dominance, BBC reported in 2010.
  2. The 2020 Ford Explorer and a New Truck Will Debut Before the New Ford Bronco: Report https://jalopnik.com/the-2020-ford-explorer-and-a-new-truck-will-debut-befor-1831206305 As thirsty as we all are to finally see a new Ford Bronco, an allegedly leaked product plan suggests that we’ll have to wait until we get through reveals of the 2020 Ford Explorer and likely a refreshed Ford F-150 first. The supposed product plan was seen by the folks over at OffRoad.com, and apparently it outlined a plan to reveal the 2020 Ford Explorer, which we’ve already kind of seen, and a new F-Series which is likely a refreshed F-150 before we can get to the goods. The Explorer will drop at the 2019 North American International Auto Show in Detroit next month, and OffRoad speculates that the new F-Series “full-size pickup” will follow sometime in the second half of 2019. The new F-Series will also probably introduce a hybrid pickup, which will be, well, something. But just don’t count on too many surprises for the Big Bronco any time soon, unless something leaks. The Baby Bronco already leaked (also through OffRoad.com), but evidently there was no mention of it in this newly seen product plan. Considering Ford’s already issued a fairly revealing teaser of the Baby Bronco, that could also show up in Detroit, or New York show a few months later, or even Los Angeles much later. Now, Ford has already promised everybody that the new Bronco is coming in 2020, but it’s not clear if that means it’ll be a 2020 model year revealed in 2019, or a 2021 model year revealed in 2020. Model years are stupid that way.
  3. Which gives the best and most user-friendly performance? Also, I heard that G. Chrome got no Java thingy. True?
  4. I do not normally start It related thread, but Chrome have given me so much problems that I decide to dump it once & for all & go back to Internet Explorer, & never been happier. Chrome issues: -Constant crushes - Simple functions not working, e.g like the normal 'reply' in MCF (I can only use the fast reply), worst when you have to fill up some forms for credit cards or something. You just never know when it will fail. - Facebook act weird, & sometime even typing a simple comment is a challenge, as many times, part of the comment box are hidden. Sometimes, top bar (where you can select log out or view messages) are hidden as well. - Flash keep crushing ( I looked into this soultion, but the problem keep coming back) - Slow down, & taking too much resources Now back to Internet Explorer(ie), after manually paste my bookmarks, Internet work so much better. Anyone have the same experience? By the way, I am using IE 9 on Windows 7 home edition.
  5. Using Microsoft's Internet Explorer (IE) to browse the web? Your IQ score is likely to be lower than someone using Firefox, Chrome, Safari or Opera. A new study published by online psychometric testing company AptiQuant Psychometric Consulting Co. has found that a user's choice of web browser is related to their cognitive ability. "There was a clear indication...that the subjects using any version of Internet Explorer ranked significantly lower on an average than others," said Aptiquant. Out of all the IE versions, "subjects using IE 8 [fared] a little better." People using Opera, Camino and IE with Chrome Frame scored slightly higher than their not-so-bright Internet Explorer-using friends, suggesting that people with a lower IQ "tend to resist a change/upgrade of their browsers." "There was no significant difference in the IQ scores between individuals using Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox and Apple's Safari; however, it was on an average higher than IE users," said Apitiquant. More than 100,000 people in USA, Canada, UK, Australia and New Zealand took the online Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale (IV) test in the space of four weeks and their IQ scores were correlated with their browser choice for the study.
