Hi Oetem,

Hey, we are in the 'same boat' [laugh] Just that mine is a 40k servicing.

I'm checking the parts from Min Ghee and see how much do the parts costs.

Also, I have found a workshop that charge labour. Also, I have requested them to do a 16-pt check (Didn't want them to just change change and ignore thorough maintenance check [:)] )

Will keep you posted of the above, if you are interested.

I understand from workshops that prices might be a little higher if u bring your own parts to workshop to do servicing.

Apparently I approach a number of workshops and they told me so. [gossip]

then avoid those WS that impose a surcharge or penalty. plenty of WS in singpore. no worries. that riverview auto is one such shop that impose penalty.

Yup. I have blacklisted all such workshops which I have been to...First and last time. No more....Money hard to earn....

Sure. I am interested. Keep me posted. Also update me the parts that are needed and the cost.

It is good to check out the price at Min Ghee. Last time, I always buy my parts at Alexandra Village.

Btw, I am living in CCK. Where is the workshop that you are talking abt?

Aiya, Eunos also no problem since SG is so small. As long the service is good and overall price is much cheaper than RiverView.

Hi Oetem,

Not sure if I get the following required parts for our 2006 Honda FIT 40k/80k servicing. I got these from other forum message. Maybe you can advice:

- Oil Filter

- Fuel Strainer

- CVTF (ATF or CVTF? How many liter for FIT? FIT uses CVTF right?)

- Front Brake Pads

- Airbox Filter Element

- Aircon Filter

- Spark Plug (NGK or Denso? How many?)

- Power Steering Fluid

- Brake Fluid (Fuchs? How many liter?)

As for Engine Oil, what brand do you recommend?

Not sure if I miss anything else [:p]

riverview is too "overpraised." prices not cheap....penalty fee for bringing own stuff.....in these bad times, who still wants to go there?

there are many other WS that do what RView can do also.

Haiz... Need to quantify what labour for servicing.

- Labor for changing engine oil

- Labor for changing transmission oil

- Labor for changing spark plugs

- Labor for changing fuel filter

That's what I was charged during my last servicing, above item by item [knife]

Wondering if any WS charge the whole labor package and cheap.. [;)]

Hi,

Times are bad nowadays and just thinking it is worthwhile to get all the servicing parts, like engine oil, spark plugs, transmission fluid, etc to the specific car workshop which I just pay for labor cost for changing.

If so, what are servicing parts to be purchased and where can get them cheap?

Also, any car workshop that just provide labor?

Bro,

My workshop at the paya lebar shell station charged me labour @ $30 not inclusive of filter. I brought my own oil.

Bro,

Yes but one thing is that the workshop is under my PI's authorised wkshop so maybe is cheaper for me. No harm going down and ask. Generally wkshop labour is not expensive. ANother one i went to which is not my authorised wkshop charged me also ard $30-40 for labour behind singpost. The eunos industrial.

Does the labor inclusive of the all the oils/fluids changes (like engine oil, transmission oil, brake fluid, steering fluid), changing brake pads, changing spark plugs and other routine maintenance checks?

u drive a hard bargain manz.....

generally labour for servicing is engine oil, oil filter and the most spark plugs. Others should be seperate.

Some things try not to save too much, everyone need to earn alittle bit.
