Drive_carcar Clutched November 15, 2008 Share November 15, 2008 Maybe. As time passes, I get more experienced I'll be better at waxing. When I started out, always worried about not applying enough, or evenly enough. Anyway, I'm really eagerly waiting for my DG products to come in. Can't wait till next week, as the past 2 weeks I had been too tied up to even wash my car. So far God has been washing it for me (rain). ↡ Advertisement

Hishercar Clutched November 15, 2008 Author Share November 15, 2008 i use to be obsessive about car washing i wash my car every week with a waterhose I water and flush every opening to flush out the dirt in the end got more than I bargain for multiple rust spots so what do you recommend wash every month or ? Robo 2nd Gear November 15, 2008 Share November 15, 2008 eh... i believe u dont throw water into blind spots should be ok. if u also wax the car like once a mth should prevent any peeling of the paint. i dunno about the recommended intervals but myself, if dirty i can wash up to 3-4times a wk. but of course i do not DIY, i go to this shop in Jaybee. Rm8 only and best thing is thery put effort to wash. standard cant compare to when u DIy but trust me its better that every sg's carwash. den if im free in the weekends i wash and vacuum myself. i treat it as an exercise. a good one too! once a month i detail. i cant stand dirty cars. both interior and exterior. not only for cars actually, even my room even thou it can be messy but u cant really find dust. applebelle Neutral Newbie November 16, 2008 Share November 16, 2008 1 or 2 bad experience That is unqualified opinion. You are giving the product a bad name. Wash then Wax??? You must be joking. No surface prep, no clean, no nothing. Just wash n wax, what do you expect. Think need to tell the DG distributor to beware. If not, you might also give it a bad name. Robo 2nd Gear November 16, 2008 Share November 16, 2008 if u find that its a pain to buff off the residue den u should jus go send it to a shop.

Drive_carcar Clutched November 16, 2008 Share November 16, 2008 i pray for god to stop giving me free washes becos i juz did After this 2 weeks, when I'm more free to do my own wash and wax, I still need a bit of devine intervention to keep the car relatively clean on the outside. Then again, after a fresh coat of wax, the rain has little effect on your car. Any dirt will just wash off easily with the rain. But after about 1 - 2 weeks, the fresh wax looses its slick, that's when all kind of funky things get stuck to the paint work.
Drive_carcar Clutched November 16, 2008 Share November 16, 2008 Again, it's none of your business. You don't like what I genuinely feel about a product, that's too bad. As consumers, we are entitled to our opinions about products we have tried, and in this forum, I think it's fair enough we have tried a product and don't like it, we say so. Because that's our personal likes and dislikes. Don't bother replying me, as I also don't want to waste anymore time with you.
Drive_carcar Clutched November 16, 2008 Share November 16, 2008 I did eventually. However, my preference is to do my detailing myself, as I strongly feel as a owner, we know what we use on our car. When you send to someone to do it, how do you know whether they are using fresh detailing cloth, or something that has already been used hundreds of times elsewhere? Booboon 1st Gear November 16, 2008 Share November 16, 2008 Wash then Wax??? You must be joking. No surface prep, no clean, no nothing. Maybe he has already polish prior to waxing? I wash and wax every week. But polish every 3 months or so. After that I wax every week(no polishing).

applebelle Neutral Newbie November 16, 2008 Share November 16, 2008 (edited) That is just a question to him. Hopefully the TS will not be discourage by what this guy posted. Luckly, a fair number of good "review" here Anyway, I believe he is pushing the blame to the product instead of himself. Because I was waxing in the dark MSCP, so missed several spots and the residue eventually cured. Also compared to Zymol - my default brand up till now, the wax takes a lot more effort to buff off.
