this guy is not just a simple everyday adventurer Joe. He is very highly trained in survival skills. I wouldn't even want to bet $1 if he was once from special forces! He is a British, definitely SAS trained! It's the elite of the elite special forces of UK. (Special Air Services)..you see how he challenged all the elements...extreme cold, hot desert and humid jungle, safari etc...all these are hallmark of highly SAS trained,(SAS do have exchange prog with SEAL too) no doubt about it! [scholar] Those of us bro, whom are trained sos can tell..... [thumbsup]

The show is awesome. Apart from the "Fear Factor" stuff, I think the general/survival knowledge gained is so valuable. After all, its better that one know of little tips like what he demo on screen than not, especially when its needed when least expected.

3 thumbs up for Bear! [thumbsup][thumbsup][thumbsup]

The things he does are not simple. Norm ppl won't be able to do it unless one has some form of training and willpower....

but there are also some simple surival tips like how to conserve energy, how not to get dehydrated, how to look for food, find some shelter, find water, etc

I believe if ever we are in the same situation, to survive, we will do some disgusting but life-saving things

Neutral Newbie

actually he was documented previously as a "fake" most of his overnight stays in the jungle are also 'fake'

still love the show though... [;)]

I think if a Singaporean were to be stuck in those terrains he'll probably sit there and complain till he dies
