Cheekg98 1st Gear November 11, 2008 Share November 11, 2008 (edited) There goes tax payers $$$ ... Temasek will be one of the biggest casualties. It took a 12 per cent stake worth about A$400 million last year, buying in when the shares were at A$7.30 only to see the stock plummet to 54 Australian cents before they were suspended. http://www.straitstimes.com/Breaking%2BNew...ory_300845.html Edited November 11, 2008 by Cheekg98 ↡ Advertisement

Blackyv Turbocharged November 11, 2008 Share November 11, 2008 dont worry.. it's for long term investment... from A$7.30 drop to A$0.54 is just a short term drop since it's only within 1 yr... in long term, maybe 50-100 years, it will climb back and gives us a very good returns...dont worry... btw, did u tuned to radio recently, many advs about asking people putting money into cpf for the "1%" extra returns....... Wanderer Clutched November 11, 2008 Share November 11, 2008 Maybe they tot they got the shares at a discount, but then the company could be on a downtrend already... It doesn't really matter to them how long it takes to recover lah, cos they exists solely to beat inflation FOREVER.... Maybe the next gen then the price will go back..... I doubt the 1% extra is attractive enough lah, now also dunno can get back boh
