OPC Owner Beware!! LTA is stepping up!

Hi bro,

 

Just like to share my bit of sighting recently about LTA enforcement on OPC car..

 

From 22 Nov till as of today, I have been stop by LTA bike 3 times during restricted hours to check on my coupon!!

 

22 Nov - Yio Chu Kang Rd X Lentor Ave at 7.30am

 

15 Dec - Changi Village Road at 4pm++

 

16 Dec - Anchorvale Rd Blk 310++ MSCP at around 12noon. Another OPC Avante uncle owner was washing his car at the car park washing bay without a valid coupon and was spotted by a LTA 17 bike. I personally saw the officer riding into the estate, into the carpark and the washing bay to the OPC Avante.. I see the uncle saluting to the officer n was like keep on saying sorry sorry, 1st time..

 

Hope the Uncle is ok.. Wash car in car park also kanna. dunno who tip off or what de..

 

Morale of the Story: LTA super on the ball now.. DUN PLAY PUNK!!!

I'm a OPC owner and I'm glad they are doing more checks.

 

I've seen a lot of OPC offenders going round my neighbourhood way after 7am w/o coupons.

Ima not sure about that... I also dunno what the code of conduct when being spot check. Oh yah.. forgot to add that around 4pm+ today, LTA bike was seen patroling at Tampines Ave 7 and Tampines St 45 area.. Dunno why nowadays always see LTA bike. ZZZZZZZZ...

Like that OPC car that are park in private estate public road side during restricted hours considered breaking the rules? I think OPC really have some loop holes.. To avoid cheater, why dun LTA just ask the coupon to be pasted at the back of the wind screen? ZzZzZzZ....

the main criteria is whether the car's engine is turned on or not. it could have been parked there from the previous night and not been moved since.

lol at least this thread isnt about bashing OPC like e other 1... heart-wrenching... some pple get opc cuz of e nature of e job, not like we wanna take e $17k coe rebate n $800 tax rebate n insurance rebate n cry unfair system.

 

anyway i digressed.

 

i think s long s e engine dun on, e law is not broken. so technically i can juz push my car up e stairs n hug it 2 sleep in my bed n they cant do anything with me. can tow without coupon. can park (il)legally without coupon.

 

but i used 2 think only tP catch opc's. i din noe lta got their own division. issit newly created division? 2 create more jobs ah?

 

i seriously think they have quota 2 meet, like e number of opc caught... otherwise no bonus.

 

i think they shd juz implement some RFID thingy 2 track opc la... e coupon seriously is

(1) ugly

(2) too big, obstruct my view (sorry i mayb not gd driver)

(3) difficult 2 buy the $20 coupon. when i go post office n ask for Supplementary Licence, e counter staff juz go "Hah?"

 

i'm gonna customise a decal 2 b pasted on my windows tat bears e image of e Supp Lic juz 4 fun. Is it against the law? juz checking... thanks!

stationary in the lot is no issue wat...

 

but stationary in a carwash lot in the MSCP would raise questions on how the car got there in the first place? assuming it's during restricted hours.

 

so even if the owner says the car was there since last night, he'll still be fined for hogging washing bay lot by HDB, either way, he's culpable.
