Need help/suggestion for Car PC mounting

I always wanted to mount my eeePC in the car. Somehow, I don't really like the cup holder or floor mount kits that can be found on eBay, Amazon. Then I chanced upon these 2 pics. The owner (from US) DIY-ed the mounting using simple materials like polycarbonate and velcro strips. I have this empty 1-Din in under my head-unit, so I got to find a way to clamp this polycarbonate. The clamp has got to be vertical, not horizontal. Anyone can suggest where I can buy the polycarbonate sheet and the clamps?

unrelated suggestion: did you install touchscreen kit for your eeepc?

i saw a project on some russian site where someone integrated his eeepc into the 2din slot for his fit/jazz
