Recommended Shop in JB For Servicing

Can anyone recommend any good servicing workshop & also tyre wheel balancing, rotation & high speed balancing in Johor Bahru? Good for some members if they prefer to save some $$ as compare to do servicing & tyre rotation in Singapore.

I been to the Hawk Tayar [southern City branch] to change 4 tyres about 3 months ago. Went for high-speed balancing in end Dec'08.

Both times, there were 2-3 SG cars there for servicing. Should be quite popular with SG cars.

How is the quality of the tyres and how much? How much they charge for rotation and balancing?

I just got my tyre changed at Uliang.

They charge me below $1k for 4 tyre (continental sp 1 i think) including balancing and alightment.

Not sure is it expensive or cheap this is first time i change my tyre in JB.

I normally do mine at hawk tyres as well, so far I find their service is quite good and professional.

wrong bro, JB taya is much more ex than ours here. Due to their addition tax levied on imported rubbers.

yea but their alignment workmanship is kinda rubbish..tried twice...both of them FAILED to get my alignment somemore make my car worse or dangerous to drive (imagine your car's tail twitching over fast bumps) went back to my regular alignment shop in SG (the malay guy in ASEOP automotive) still he does it best...

In My personal opinion, you may be partially right..!

Please do some check ....

 

On the other hand, some tires' selling price there is nearly matching S'pore lowest offerred price.

Above is excluding the trade in price of our old tires...!

 

 

Johore's price is reasonable, wherelse in KL, u will be paying about RM40 extra/pc for the same item..!

For imported premium stuff, it may be cheaper in SG, as these stuff are subject to taxes in MY.

Just did wheel alignment and rotation/balancing wheels in JB and cost me RM61.95. Guess it is reasonable as in Sg, just rotation/balancing wheels wud cost $25.

i just did mine 3wks back, rotating balancing, alignment, change to nitrogen for RM64.

 

not happy with the nitrogen thou i ask for 34PSi tot suddenly why my cornering so good but FC suxs. in the end realised he gave me only 21PSi. in the end went petrol kiosk add more.

 

still cheap thou.
