Kiadaw 6th Gear February 5, 2009 Share February 5, 2009 One of the better design hatch......by Toyota standard. Toyota, barred the sports model like MR2 & Celica, are few & far between in U.K. The interior is pucky thou & will attract the young, less rich folks. Don't think it will really be a big hit in U.K given the choice of cuties like Ford Ka & fiat 500, & also Mazda 2.
Potheader Clutched February 8, 2009 Share February 8, 2009 drove the iQ in japan and the fortwo in france before. both cars are quite comparable in terms of handling, although the iQ is better spec-ed. drive is a pleasure, very nippy. parking is even better! if the pricing is right in SG, should give the QQs and picantos a run for their money. Watwheels Supersonic February 8, 2009 Share February 8, 2009 I saw the review on Fifth Gear. This car can sit 3 adults and maybe a toddler. Toyota have design the car differently from most cars, from engine position, transmission and fuel tank, so that to give the interior more space. On the front passenger side the rear can sit an adult comfortably but not on the driver's side, I think at most can sit a child. And a very tiny boot. No wonder they dun try to put a toddler in it cos there will be no space in the boot to put the pram. Its 1.0L is "spiritly" as described by the host when driving in the city...it's a car designed for city driving anyways.
Kenopps Neutral Newbie August 10, 2009 Share August 10, 2009 Anyone bought the iQ? Need some feedback.
Zxcvb Turbocharged August 10, 2009 Share August 10, 2009 (edited) forget it. this car will not sell well in singapore. remember the subaru R1? there are more nissan GTR here than the R1. and motorimage has already scrappped the model from their car list. so my bet is this car will not be brought in be it borneo nor parrallel import. Incom 1st Gear August 11, 2009 Share August 11, 2009 One PI brought in one unit of the iQ. The launched price, you can get a Civic 1.6 from Kah Motor with the same price. Still saw it at the showroom a few months back. Cheers
Silver_blade Turbocharged August 11, 2009 Share August 11, 2009 Nice car, but it is not cheap. Aston Martin is going have a baby aston martin, based on the iQ....mainly as an option for customers.

Kenopps Neutral Newbie August 11, 2009 Share August 11, 2009 PIs brought in the X and G version. G model is the higher spec with climatic aircon, keyless entry and start engine button, leather wrap steering and knob and some minor stuffs. I have seen both models and the X model is currently going @ 55988 with gtn coe at Pxxxxxxx. The G model that one of the PIs is carrying has a hefty price tag at 71k. wow! Theludicrous Neutral Newbie August 11, 2009 Share August 11, 2009 it only allows 2 adults in it, not really practical yes?
Kenopps Neutral Newbie August 11, 2009 Share August 11, 2009 we tried with 4 adults. A 1.86m on the front passenger seat and with 1.65m at the back -> no problems and still some buffer left 1.7m with 1.72 at the driver end is not doable. so its really 3 adults and + 1 it only allows 2 adults in it, not really practical yes? Babyt 4th Gear August 11, 2009 Share August 11, 2009 R1 design is ugly in the first place! Toyota one is nicer...i believe it will attract a niche crowd and TOYOTA BRAND SELLS. LOL This car good for beginners.
