maybe you should drive closer to see if he is going to filter left lane.

if he is not, then you can manouvre to the left before he did it.

if he yes, then you can just stay in your own lane without filtering.

he was not. i was already at the left lane. as what his earlier action, he swerve without checking for 2nd time, if i dun jam braked, i will definitely hit him.

P.S. cannot swerve left somemore cos amk ave 10 is 2 lanes nia per each direction.

Be lucky that everyone is safe because you notice the cab come out suddenly :)

They been on the road for hours and longer then anyone of us here. So it is no surprise they will do some 'stunt'. Some time not even cabbies also do such thing. :)

Just like ytd on ECP heading to KPE, WRX/ 2x Swift/ Lancer and Honda Civic were speeding at almost 120-130km/hr. Luckily I didnt signal out, if not, that's it.

Wonder if tecksi driver view is like? Maybe they dun see other cars on the road and can only see would be passengers($$). Totally dun makes sense that they keep to middle or 1st lane when the tecksi is empty.

keep to the middle or 1st lane so that they can try stunt, jam brake and make illegal U-turn when they see passengers on the opposite side of the road....

That's why I sometimes drive with one hand ready to horn. You know the type - lane drifters, some taxies, some commercial vehicles cos they got big big blind spot but still do sudden lane changes.

First on my list of upgrades is always the horn. Stebel the best. Really wakes them up.

sadly quite a number of drivers don't have any situation awareness coz when they don't even know someone is horning at them...

Brilliantly said. They should make this into a bumper sticker, fridge magnet and poster.

Tsk tsk. One bamboo capsize a boatload of people. Hate the individual, don't discriminate against the entire group.

I ever encountered a cabby who swerve into your path and I don't mean when I'm driving. Me and my colleagues, total 4 of us, were trying to cross a road when this bugger came charging from nowhere. He turned from a slip road and when he saw us steeping off the curb, he drove near us and swerve into our path, almost brushing us off the road back to the curb. We all jumped back in the nick of time. It was a shocking move and we were all caught by surprise. If only I were more alert, I would have taken his number and report him. [sweatdrop][sweatdrop][sweatdrop][sweatdrop]

I have a very bad impression of them, sorry but that's my take.

For the record, we weren't jaywalking but trying to cross an 'empty' road, no traffic at that time until he appeared like a bolt of lightning.

So...........................that couldn't have been any other type of vehicle? driver? I really empathise with you, I would have been enraged as well. But my point is : are you having taxis charging and nearly killing you and your colleagues every other day?

Or if this exact same driver gets into his own car, oh let's say a Honda ABC, and charges and nearly kills you and your colleagues in his Honda ABC. Will you also be proclaiming damn all Honda ABC drivers?

See my point?

Luxury cars do that also. This morning I was almost side by side with a Jaguar S*H66 and without looking out his side mirror, he signalled and abruptly cut into my lane. I had to swerve my car to the left lane to avoid a near collision.

yeah bro, me also kenna a shajuar ytd nite along CTE(towards yishun), is it gold color??

Me also at fault lar coz speeding (rushing as was late for appt) along lane 1

I was doing like 120 while he is probably 90-100, then this shajuar suddenly cut into my lane with no signal and i was like juz less than half body length behind him...coz i can see his head when he moved in..

jammed brake, horn him and high beam him but he still move in with no visibile increase in speed which shouldn't be a prob since the car is so much more powerful... worst thing is there's a bike following behind me and he also highbeamed to no avail...(only can pray hard ;p)

Heng nothing happen, my brake needs to change liao...kekeke
