Huber Optic, Ice Cool, V Cool, all like damn ex if you want around 50% rejection rate... Don't know why anti-solar flim must be expensive in SG? must be the labour cost. In JB, it ranges from RM120 to RM300 for a mid-size saloon, could be cheaper or more expensive depending on brands and areas. Regards,
Ekardo Clutched April 15, 2009 Author Share April 15, 2009 well...cheap doesn't means good (take most of the cheapest package from all the solar film company), and good doesn't mean expensive.. (take vkool or huber optics low grade as example) so those in Msia might be cheap, but might not be good. there's in doing for $120 for whole car except front wind screen for 68% IRR...that's cheap, provided I no need to do front windscreen... Windchoco 1st Gear April 16, 2009 Share April 16, 2009 What brand solar film good for reducing heat ? The free set that come with my car, when I go lunch... the interior of the car super hot.... is my expectations too high? Or there are solar films that can do better? Willeo Neutral Newbie April 16, 2009 Share April 16, 2009 Park directly under the sun, any brand of solar film gives the same result... ur car will be baked... the heat does not enter ur car thru the glass only... the whole car is a good conductor of heat... the only way u can keep it cool is to use a super-large piece of heat-insulating mat and cover the whole car. The claim from branded solar film coys (and those car owners who did pay for it) is that... if u use the premium grade ones... your car will cool faster than those without (good) films... IMO, the real usefulness is that IF u are always on the road, you are exposed to the harmful sun rays... so having a good protection is always welcome... but otherwise... solar films are just to give your ride the LOOKS cool factor... Newcar 1st Gear April 16, 2009 Share April 16, 2009 IF u have side visors being install on window frame. Do lower down the window glass down a little, at least people from outside doesn't know window is not fully closed. Yet Hot air within the car cabin can escape out from the small gap. It do help at times...
Ekardo Clutched April 18, 2009 Author Share April 18, 2009 agree with new car...sometimes, just open the window a bit... or try this japanese method, before you get into the car, open the door from one side, then move over to the other side of the car, open and slam the door. This action will somehow blow all the hot air in the car. Next close all the door and wind down windows, move off for a while for the air to change, then turn on aircon... need a bit of patience lah...
