I30, feedbacks please !!!!

that's the way to go...from my lancer to a I30, hopefully to a VW next round!!!

 

 

 

Nope.. there's nothing wrong with mis-identify it against i30... it's a good car intended to target it against the Eruope market... and makes the car on par to Europe standard... in which it does. only that the Avante engine struggle a little in this a heavier body... give it the Sonata engine and it's real roaring car to be had!

 

But c'mon, we paid a premium for our conti's... design for and built in conti... it handles a tad better and a more balance engine and body system.....

 

If this goes on.. my next ride very well be a Korean... the closest u get to Conti without the price tag!

lots of car around that price now..did a round of price comparison, from my selection, only Lancer GLX and Advante cheaper.

Just when to see the model.

 

The car feels quite tough and sturdy. Quite nice looking from the back. The bodykit really enhance the sportiness of the car.

Boot is deeper than impreza. The sports version comes with sunroof as standard.

 

Didn't get to testdrive, the 50+K price is a bit too high though..

Not enuff feeling of power... Think they made a mistake of not tuning the engine to have a sportier feel, low-end and pickup like Yaris... Also no Manual transmission or even tiptronic...

 

Instead now u have a sporty looking "Yaris" that feels like an altis (avante).... something like that...

They have manual provided you can find another 5 more brothers to order together with you. Was told to me by one of the SE on that. As for sporty feel I think if they bring in the manual version would make up for it and also if the autos have steptronics. Also I think the braking need some improvment. Don't really like the feel it gave me.

Bro.. think as long as u jam brake, the car can stop quickly, can liao la... some brakes in some cars are just more rubbery and not so "solid" feeling... Its the design and "feeling" nia, not necessary is "poorer" brake performance.... =)

 

Alternatively, this is a small problem thats moddable... (change to Steel brake hose, brake booster, etc)

Went to look at forte too, but dun quite like it, heard some neg points on its suspension, dunno how true....

I did not hear anything from my friend who owns a red forte.

Just collected my long awaited i30 S on 29 April 2009.

 

Very pleased with it, the only minus point is that the pick up speed is a bit slow.

 

So if you are particular in terms of the pick up speed then you might want to reconsider.

 

But other than that the ride is a much smoother than other cars that I have driven.

 

The interior and the boot is really spacious as the length of the car is rather long comparing it to a normal hatchback car.[/font]

my feeling is that of all the colors of i30 i have seen on the roads, the BEST color is the one that is quite close to wrx blue.

I've been seeing quite a bit of this car these few days...

 

I have to say that the best colour is the Dark Grey/brown.. it really does look like Beemer from back and sides.. heck even on the front..

 

they not only target this car for Europe.. they even design it to look like one of the Conti.. well done!

 

pick up... well... there's no poison that cannot take care of that.. and I'm sure once you test how well this car cruise at high speed... you'll forgive the pickup issue...

i30....hmmm...i test drove i30, Avante and Forte. I chose the Forte cos i love the drive feel and design of the body. However, if there is no Forte, i would choose the Avante over the i30. i30 feels sluggish compared to the Avante. But looks wise i30 is nicer den Avante.

I have seen several i30 on the road. It really look very stylish and sporty. But the price between the Avante and i30 is too much of a difference. Does any one know about the diff in Parf ?
