AXS machine: Fraud?

Couple of weeks later the letter came as well. Must be Ice cream stick bank?

Encountered that too. Their system will raise an alarm either if the amount being charged is very big (differ much from your usual spending) or when overseas.

even the junk ship bank too....it is their practice now w all the fraud worldwide

So far for me this only happened with local banks and it's not a big amount. When I did sign for a big amount in a single bill I did not get any call from non local banks.

Passed by an AXS machine earlier, and decided to pay for my recent parking fine there. Pressed on one of the quick link buttons on the touch-screen to pay. The machine prompted me to insert my ATM card, even before asking for car registration number.

 

Smelling a fraud, I decided to re-start the transaction. Pressed the "Pay fines" button, then the "URA" button. The machine, again, prompted me to insert my ATM card. I put in the card. Machine prompted me to key in my PIN. I immediately aborted the transaction and kept my card.

 

Anyone has similar encounter? Doesn't make sense at all that the payee authorise the NETS withdrawal even before anything was done. Just like signing a blank cheque.

Actually till now, I'm still puzzled what AXS machine is. Does it look like a public phone? Wat can u do with these beside paying fine?

Why use AXS? Pay fines online can use credit cards.
