Shelf life of Spark Plug & Gearbox oil filter

Can anyone advise if there is any shelf life or expiry date for spark plug and gearbox oil filter?

 

Say if I but now, can I still use them say 3 - 4 yrs later?

There's no shelf life for spark plugs as there's no moving parts or any rubber seal. For any filter with seal, normally it's 5yr from manufactured.

read somewhere, oil filter was to change every 5000 km,

as for plug. stock sucks..

 

an iridium ones is cheap nowadays with a lifespan of 100 000

we dun mean the running life, but rather shelf life for brand new piece.
