Any idea how to force a reboot of the GPS/Display Unit? Sometimes the GPS freezes and even when you off engine and turn on, the GPS is still stuck at the same place.

Did sound proofing double layers on all 4 doors and the difference is noticeable.

Door closes with ease now with just a light swing as it feels more solid.

Even if swing hard the door closes now with a soft deep thud. (Previously if door is swung hard it will close with a loud hollow bang!)

An obvious difference in the noise level can be felt for stationary and low speeds (<70km/h).
But when at higher speeds(>80km/h – 100km/h) the noise reduction is not as significant though.

During higher speeds the road noise really comes in from the wheel arches and undercarriage instead.

Overall very satisfied with the noise reduction and much better sounding speakers.

New measurements are taken with those free decibel meter from app store.
Car stationary (engine off, aircon fan off) – 35-40db
Car stationary (engine off, aircon fan on) – 40-45db
Car stationary (engine on, aircon fan on) – 50db
Car speed(60km/h) – 60-65db
Car speed(70km/h – 80km/h) – 63-68db
Car speed(80km/h – 100km/h) – 68-73db

I bought my own dynamat and speakers from Amazon with free shipping but had quite a hard time looking for a place to help me install … from freelancers(MIA) to audio shops(expensive charges just for labor) to baokarliao workshops(slightly cheaper but scared not so pro).

I am truly glad to have found one very good pro audio shop and ended up installing there at very reasonable charges. The boss and his crew there are all very sincere people and passionate about sharing on audio knowledge. Not for a moment was I made to feel out of place just because I bring my own “unknown cheapo” barang barang to install and never buy anything else. (Overheard their other customers installing stuff amounting to the thousands [lipsrsealed] )

Funniest part was I bought only 3 boxes of dynamat from Amazon which I realised wasn’t enough for double layer on every door (1 box is needed for one door) and the boss kindly helped to brainstorm and came up with a clever cost-efficient solution for me.

In short, they did double layer on all doors for me, swopped out my front stock papercone speakers(provided proper spacers because my new speakers mounting depth were too shallow) and also helped to resolve(90%!) the irritating dashboard rattling sound behind the HU at minimal cost which I believe some other Sylphians have been complaining about as well. [smash]

My Sylphy will be reaching 10 years by end Dec this year. In the past two months, there is a noise when I decelerate/brake to slow or when I drive over rugged tiled surface. The noise is like ge ge ge coming from the front suspension. I had both shock absorbers replaced about two years ago. I am not sure if the noise is due to rubber mounts that have worn out.

Does anyone have similar experience before whether it was Sylphy or not?

I wonder if the car can drag on with this problem for a further 6 months.

Thanks for the input.

Wow that's fast~ SE did tell us that they currently have existing stocks already so it's just the wait for getting a successful coe bid, potentially latest end May

Initially we went to ubi show room but no one bothered to serve us (we wear till pretty slack)~ instead we went to Bukit timah show room~ Must admit the SEs there are so much more proactive n helpful comparatively

I have a colleague that formed their own whatsapp support group and he found it really helpful so far when there's help needed

Anyone interested to form one? =))

U need to ask at the counter at ubi. Then they will ask someone to serve u. That was my experience as I can remember.

Is lite version mean without skirting and amp? Signature has both per what I knew anyway not really worth to go with signature as u can easily install skirting in jb nissan AD with the similar design or nismo skirting and just cost 4k rm with spray work :)

Recently my Sylphy's air con has issue, the air flow intake will alternate between fresh air intake and recirculation even though I have it set at  recirculation. the problem with this of course is that smell/dust from the outside will flow in and temperature will increase due to hot air intake from outside.

See this video.

Anyone had this problem before, what was the issue? And what was the remedy and cost?

My ride is 2.0, the buttons are a bit different, you have the 3 buttons Clean/ Fresh Air Inatke/Recirculation.

Thanks

So.. has the problem solved or not?
