I just used (few hours ago) the one recommend by wishcumtrue, the backlight of the iphone have to put quite bright (at least 60%, and this was night time, I think day time totally cannot see) otherwise cannot really see, and hence drain battery quite fast! I just play play try only, definitely not using on regular basis, but it's good enough

its cheaper to get handphone holder , ad the speedometer app , if u already owned a iphone , it works just great ,except underground.

Get Defi , they have a range of VSD series HUD . can read speed/tacho and you can add in sensors to display other info like water /oil temp /pressure/boost/ext temp /intake manifold pressure etc..i am using the basic series for about 4yrs.no fade on display or backlit or whatsoever.

Defi would be nice, but probably too expensive for a non-performance driver :)

Anyways, Defi's VSD products are all EOL. Can't even find them on Ebay.

If you just wanna play play for fun...Andriod has a app call Speed Track...it has a HUD function...FOC.

 

Uses GPS sat to track your speed.

Got it from the website link I posted.. comes from the US. Apparently they have an Ebay shop as well.. but it cost USD10 more and shipping costs more too.

I installed in JB (Mega Champion Mart). Not too far away from SG. Along Tebrau highway.. opp Taman Sentosa I think.

It looked troublesome as they're not done it.. but basically ya gotta tell them to tap signal directly from your dashboard. Also.. somehow the mechanic didn't know how to calibrate it (couldn't understand the manual perhaps) so I calibrate it myself.. need to do it at 40kph :) Just make sure it's connected.
