A draw was almost certain as the game remained goalless after 85 minutes of gameplay and throngs of fans were slowly making their way to the exits. A persistent Dortmund team, managed by Patrick Chua (again?), seemed to be stopping Man Utd who was gunning for their 5th consecutive league win. A goalless draw was almost certain. Almost. At the 85th minute, Evra launched a counter attack on Dortmund and made a beautiful pass to Zanetti who quickly lobbed into the penalty area and caught the defence off guard. Speedy Tevez made a first touch and unleashed a powerful volley past the helpless keeper, only to be denied by the woodwork. Just as everyone in yellow heaved a sigh of relief, Gonzalez turned swiftly, fell on his back and executed a beautiful overhead kick. GOAL!!! Gonzalez sent the whole stadium into frenzy with his stunning goal! Manchester United recorded their 5th straight league win and marked their first pole position. Meanwhile, Chelsea lost to Inter despite dominating the match with a total of 27 shots in total, 17 shots at goal.
