Brake problem... need advice...

I've been with my Espec BBK for quite sometime and i notice after installed it, i find that my front wheel seems like more 'resistance'. when car in stationary, road slightly uneven condition, i can hear my front wheel got sound. seems like the brake pad in contact with my rotor.

 

I drove my bro's civic (stock brake) and i can feels the wheel totally no 'resistance' at all. stationary (slight slope) can roll off freely faster.

 

Question now is it normal for all after market BBK? or the installer never install properly? or they never do a good job bleedingthe brake fiuld and top up again?

Could be a shimming problem whereby the shims for the brake pads are too thick. Had a similar experience when I was using those chapalang brand pads with shims of incorrect thickness. Could hear a sort of grinding noise when moving slowly. Solved the issue when my mech managed to find a set of shims to replace.

but my espec BBK comes with brake pad and rotor leh.. if is the pad problem... then mostly all ppl who on espec will have this problem right?

anyone can recommend me a shop to check my brake?? roughly how much it cost to service my problem?

you can try AutoBay @ Kaki Bukit, #01-47. Look for ah sang. He should be able to advice you. Checking should be FOC i think... ?? Or you can call 67413819 and check with him first. A friendly mechanic. :)

I need advice from someone in this forum. I am driving a Honda Fit and having this brake problem: When I step on the brake pad to stop my car, I can feel a sudden sink down effect on the brake pad. This will cause the car to jerk and stop as though it is an E brake. At the same time, I can hear hissing sound coming from the brake pad when fully step onto the brake pad. The sink down effect and hissing will not happen when I start my car and step on the brake pad. My car is now 2 yrs old. The same thing happened when my car was about 6 months old. Even the mechanics in the workshop didn't know what was the cause of the problem. The last time they "fix" it was simply try and error.

How's the level of your brake fluid in your BF reservoir?

Get yr mech to bleed the system with either a pressure or vacuum bleeder NOT with his leg pumping power. Have him test out the master brake booster unit to make sure all the vacuum hoses/fittings and relief valve are in order.
