At a Shell station around 5.45pm.

About 30 cars. That was only one station. [laugh][laugh][laugh]

What's the point you are trying to bring across.

Please don't post 1 piece 1 piece type of stuff

maybe they could have done it in a better way by issuing tickets till 6pm. in this way drivers that are in the Q before 6pm can have the chance to pump, those who come after that will not get a ticket.. this way also prevents people going back for the 2nd time .

In the afternoon, there were already so many cars queuing for cheap petrol.

End up blocking the roadway... I even saw traffic polices helping to control the insane traffic jam.~

To all the Marketing department in Singapore, or those who wish to leech the consumer.

This is a very classic example of how YOU can manipulate the general mass in such way that they are willing to give up their time/ money/ soul to buy your premium product.

Use this at will, be it on Cars, House, COE, Votes, MLM, Tineshare, Health Products or whatever.

upon seeing the queue i went to pump at esso.

the $40 savings will not convince me to spend 2 hours queuing, seeing people cut my queue, making my blood boil, witnessing drivers shaking their cars to fill to the brim.

i would probably suspect that shell 'borrowed' the idea from the nightlife scene. those who know how free parties are conducted at clubs would see how we let the queue drag till the clark quay taxi stand.

OT: btw if the mods so kindly allow the promotion of exclusive nightlife events (at new asia bar, indochine etc.) in this forum. i may want to be a sponsor. *hint hint* [wave]

Wasting 2 hours in the queue to save $20-$30 while at the same time hogging up the whole traffic.

Some even came in big cars.

真是"瘾饭"!

I don't blame the kiasu drivers that much since been singaporean, ks-ness is part of our being, but bl@@dy shell for instigating them.

I think it is a waste of time and money to queue for the promotion. Spending 2 hours idling already burnt off few dollars of your own petrol not counting your precious time.
