They don't give you plastic bags. Now, when you buy canned food, drinks and groceries， they would probably point you to buy a cloth tote bag at $2 each to carry the stuffs home. I will not be surprised if they put up the cloth tote bags near the checkout counters for sale. -

Of course I would prefer the Braggart. I feel so inspired by our resident Tua Pow Sians in MCF. They motivated me very much. -
Care to share some of your expenditures on schooling kids? I grew up from a simple family which didn’t quite spend too much on the children, but we still turn out to be alright. We received a lot of hand me downs from cousins and bigger siblings. I am doing the same for my children. However, I do agree that health expenses might be a concern, so I try to get adequate insurance coverage.

Just a quick opinion poll. If you are close to 50 years old, have worked for more than 25 years and have enough savings, would you hang on to a job which you dislike? Or would you take a risk to start your own small business?

40++ years old should come with a sufficient pool of experience. Should gather a few like-minded colleagues to come together to start a small business.

If over 40s and gets retrenched, might be better to break free from rat race and start a small business.

Don't mess with our local security uncles. They are professionally-trained.

Housing at Braddell area is not exactly that cheap. It is near Toa Payoh and Bishan. They should move to Marsiling or Bukit Panjang and help to raise the HDB prices there.
