Hi, read a lot of big turning radius for S60 and S80.

Any S40 drivers can comment if its the same for the s40?

any problems having a u turn for a 2 lane?

thanks.

thanks..

Its built on a combined focus-mazda3 platform. These are all very nimble cars. The S40 is not any lesser.

S60 is build on an old platform to accomodate its huge range of engines, so it eats into the wheelwell area, ie. lesser wheel articulation range

Yes, big probs. I'm driving a C70 and you have to make a good effort to do a successful turn.

Brought up this issue with the volvo mechanic and he said the engineers designed the engine alignment

that causes a wide turn. Why such alignment? For safety, he says.

confirmed no problem.

S40 has a good tight turning radius similar to most cars and BMW 3series.

this coming from yours truly, an ex S40 and S60 driver.

No problem, turn like a normal car. On wiper blades best to get Volvo brand (lasts for 4 years), else try Twister (only for driver side, as passenger side is slightly curved by design). Other jap brand won't fit.
