Depends whether uu want continential prestige or Japanese reliability and peace-of-mind lor.

And also depends on what uu'r owning now. If uu now driving Jap uu would like to experience German quality at least once in your life.

Hope these helps.

I also agree. I would choose Audi if the price tag is more or less the same.

Sorry to Hijack this thread as I need 10 posts before i can start a topic which i lack.

Would like to ask ppl here about pre-owned cefiro 2.3 around 2005-2007.

It comes with reverse camera+factory gps and yearly depreciation is around high 4k- low 6k annually which is why I am very tempted to go for this buy as I prefer luxury drive.

Question is, how is the fc for this model?

Insurance is about how much for a 34M with about 13 yrs of driving experience but with no NCD coz was driving dad's car.

Any common issue or common parts change that requires high costs involved in this model?

Thanks in advance for all comments, cheers.

I just got a 3.5 month 2.3 about 3 months ago. No worries about maintenance. Did my first servicing and mechanic say nothing wrong. Just do the normal. The boss drives a 5-6 year old cefiro also and he told me till now, he had no problems except to change wear and tear parts.

My insurance is about $1k+. I'm a 32M with 50% ncd. If u are ok with the outlook, everything else is very good. Very quiet engine and really luxurious inside. I am getting around 8.5km/l for 80% city driving. Not too bad considering my old stream is also giving me about 9.5km/l for the same driving style.

I am driving a 06 cefiro 230jm. FC I am getting is approx 10km/l. but the norm should be 8.5km/l.

Servicing not much different in price just that it need about 6 liters of engine oil and 6 liters of ATF.

Should inspect the rear ball bearings(120 each or OEM 260each), Suspension (F$65, R$50 or OEM F~$360, E$280), engine mountings (~$600 exclude labor), drive shaft covers (cost me $200+ to replace plus labor, still cheaper than one drive shaft)

Issurance about 1k for mine with 55%NCB from ntuc. heard typical is 1.2k. transfer fee about $800+

If you buying one, jan 06 cefiro should get 41k then more worth it. sure can bargain cuz a no much ppl buy cefiro hence easier to down the asking price by 2k-3k.
