I want to test the limit of ES, that's why 1 shot layering 4. Maintainance wise, 2 layer i would say is just nice. Weekly AW or QD will work just as fine after 2 layers of ES

After reading all the hype, I've also done it last weekend on a portion of my front hood and the following is my findings:

1st layer - not so slick, beading is so-so, sheeting is so-so

2nd layer - slicker than 1 layer but not as slick as 105, beading a little bit better but still not as nice as 105, sheeting action is good

3rd layer - this is where everything changes. I'd say beading is better than 105 and *almost* looked like 'carnauba' beads, sheeting is superb and slickness matches 105. Unfortunately, some streaking/smearing has started to appear.

4th layer - not much difference with 3 layers but streaking/smearing got a little worse.

The above was done over 1 1/2 hour time so my findings can't be considered as conclusive (especially on the streaking part) as I had disregard the curing time for the ES. Anyway its just a fun experiment, will do a proper one with proper documentations if got time.

Regards.

Hehe..good to hear that Kris..according to the chemist invented this..The first layer of ES will remove oil film..Still not slick after 1 layer and I agreed with you the sheeting is so so..The slickness and sheeting effect will be great with 2nd layers..

To avoid any streaking..I would suggest change to another applicator after finishing 2nd layer if you wish to proceed to 3rd layers...Streaking starts appearing for ES once the product is applied too much for this case..

yeah...the streaking...I didn't really do it properly as it was just a spur of the moment kinda thing. And since I'm planning to do some light polishing job on the car so I didn't really care that much about streaking. Change pad....roger that.

Bro. As mentioned quite a few times.. u need minimal products for ES.

my method.

1. QD the panel first to make sure its clean.

2. Spray or mist some distilled /filter water to MF pad ..and i will do so for every panel .

3. Spray 2 light pump of ES.

4. Keep wipe without pressure ..bout 3 wipes. 2 light pump of ES are good for 1 door.

5. Quick Buff every 2 panel ..with or without streaking

6. wait for 10-15 mins for 2nd coat but without QD. Follow the same method.

7. 3RD coats . 1 pump of ES are enough for 1 whole with same MF pad. again I mist some filter/distilled water to pad.. buff every 2 panel. DONE. without streaking furthermore mine is a thin and soft CC.

Just my method which I hv tried many times. Try out see whether it helps.
