For the sake of discussion. one friend told me that some people use this loophole in Insurance to get a free paint job.

It's easier to fake compared to an accident.

Some people will scratch their own car and then claim a new paint job from insurance.

Access is usually a few hundred dollars and for new drivers NCD makes little difference... all in all it cost less to them to get a new paintjob.

Some even claims more by puncturing their own tires especially when it's due to change.

I would like to see insurance company to check in detail especially if the "Victim" dont look too distressed but very happy to get a new coat.

I urge all to inform your insurance company to be aware!

Last yr, I got no claims at all and they still up my premium upon renewal. If I dont use my insurance, I got to pay more from my own pocket. Estimate damage will be S$2k, my excess only S$300. So I just pay the excess only and let the insurance settle the rest. Anyway claim or dont claim, premium still went up so might as well claim lah.

 

wah you got very low excess.. super worth it.. some more you got NCD protector as mentioned by you.. its a win-win situation for you

I just checked with my insurance. My current policy have NCD protector. So I am covered for now. My current policy ends this mth and I will be having a new coverage next mth.

Car was vandalised with scratches everywhere wif words scratched to the bonnet. All four tyres were puntured.

 

compared to the other thread which you also started about that female driver....

from the way you usually construct your posts, when you have frustration to vent... why the sudden change of outburst? hope you are feeling better...

by the way, care to share how come your excess is so low at $300?

 

with NCD protector and 55% NCD + safe driver, my excess is still $500... Premium paid is $800...

from your photos, the car vandal did a very thorough job.. from your bonnet, to the entire body of the car.... you have to respray the entire car...

I dont know abt tyres and spraying. Everything handled by workshop. My only request is return me my car by Fri evening cos Sat I wana go MY.

 

I do not have any problems with any of my neighbours. I greet them, wave at them, fetch them to MRT, attend their kids party, share food made by my wife, etc.... the police said tis is the very first case in my carpark here and every now and then, I do park at that lot w/o any problems. It is hardly a good lot as it is in the middle of the MSCP, not near any walkway. Just move on lor. Nothing much I can do. Police has classified this case as mischief act instead of vandalism as only my car was vandalised.

Wat can I do? Just and its another new beginning. Moreover my tyres already two years old and I was abt to send my car for grooming for CNY. So I now just it off lah.

 

Just move on lor.

BTW, my meaning of senior forummers are those that have been in this forum for yrs ago. Met them thru previous Bishan meet up, MCF kickabout and adhoc track days.

 

 

So I really dont mind meeting any forummers to clear up any misunderstanding. You have to stand behind what you had posted and I am doing exactly that. I can show proof of police reports, workshop receipts, exclusive pics and videos. It will indicate to you the time and place it happened which I do not wish to divulge here in the open forum.

 

BTW, I am noticing a trend of the farker who is always parking in that lot. Just waiting to catch him red-handed again in action otherwise there is nothing much SPF can do also. Once bitten twice shy?

Hello, i do see u replying in the other thread, you even thanked those who offered kind words for their comments.

 

BUT that was only in the initial part when not much folk pointed out that it was your fault and not the lady's fault....

 

after a while, when the all the old birds come in and when people started to point out your mistakes and show you high way code, you went high and dry and was nowhere to be found...

 

i think it is more like nothing you could say or not enough courage to admit your mistake or just being a coward

 

 

 

5 secs delay when it is not her fault and you managed posted up an entire video clip, calling her stupid and selffish

 

i am sure the punctured tyres must have delayed u by more than 5 mins, maybe even 50 mins.... so i dont understand how you can be not angry when you have proven to have a short fuse in the other posts....

 

nobody knows for sure, but it sure sounds like a case of being guilty, or that you know what you have done to deserve it.... like wat others have said, there is no smoke without fire

I am not a divine. Wats done is done and cannot be undone. Just move on with life, there is no need to think too much into it. Just look at it at a positive way. I am a very frenly person. Ask my neighbours, frens and colleagues. Even the guy who rear ended my one yr old car previously find me odd when I smiled at him as we alight our vehicle to discuss.

Which vandal will take care and do such an all round job?

cover any parts that warrants a full body repaint and 4 tyres replacements?

i just find it weird that why your car kena punctured and scratched you can take things so easy.

actually, i dun really post online these days... but i looked at the extent of how much damage had done to his ride.. INCREDIBLE!

 

really very comprehensive, wondering if the roof is also vandalised? tyres were also not spared.....
