So help is needed from you guys. have you check with them whether they might void your warranty if you do not service your car by them? better to check because of potential reliability issue (if any). good to hold onto the warranty..~
Nf0rc3r 1st Gear March 4, 2010 Share March 4, 2010 (edited) Just go to ur favourite workshop to change oil.. But chery use HKS iridium spark plugs for their servicing.. surprised when i saw it lol.. How old? Go "Arh" with a SE in case they void warranty SE can help u close one eye.. Also note Chery's servicing quite comprehensive one. Their 10K servicing majiam 20K. They will change spark plug and air filter also which i dun rly feel necessary.. Somemore their iridium plugs every 10k change a bit wasted.. Scoobydoo Neutral Newbie March 5, 2010 Share March 5, 2010 $280 for standard servicing or what? Includes what? Oil, oil filter..... spark plugs? brake pads? If it's for the basic servicing, that's quite a mad price.

Weesern Clutched March 6, 2010 Share March 6, 2010 juz check ur manual to see what is the minimum rating u need to use... in general if the oil meet the minimum ratings, should be able to use
Ken4555 1st Gear March 6, 2010 Share March 6, 2010 (edited) Chery engines cannot last as long as Jap / Conti engines, so minimum must use ester-based engine oils to be safe... ??? wat logic is that? so good engines like BMWs and Merc can use cheap oil? regular oil change is the best you can do... mineral/syn based/fully syn.... watever oil if you use too long also will become sludge.... IMO, in SG climate... short distance drives,... traffic jams.... best oil for long lasting engine is a 15W/50 or 20W/50.... but your FC will be higer lah... the 0W 5W 10W rating in front is useless unless you driving to the north/south pole... and i think usually oils with a 0W rating more expensive... WAH LIKE I OIL EXPERT SIA..... Edited March 6, 2010 by Ken4555 ↡ Advertisement
