Hi all,

Recently i notice a line about 10cm across my windscreen ( driver side). The scratch seems to be caused by the wiper as it follows the curves made by the wiper when you swipe it. However i cannot feel the scratch at all with my finger nor my nails but it is there thou very light. Can anyone know how to remove that as it is quite an eyesore. Lastly can the wiper cause such a scratch as i find it unlikely. Anyone have such experience? Many thanks,

i've got the scratches all over..can't be saved now... i've tried to use Rain-X to smoothen it... however..it's only a temporary measure and the problem returns after some time..

i think there might be debris like a grain of sand or tiny pebble when you switch on ur wiper which caused the scratch.but if it's very fine, might as well ignore it.coz it's not cheap to repair it.

check if the scratch is inside or outside.

if inside, could be you solar film scratched, like mine.

change it, if you think you have spare cash for new solor film.

outside, you can hardly have scratches, unless you have some enemies.

like placing bottle/can's cap under your wiper.

upon switching it on, it start to scratch.

normal situation you might have some chipped-off from flying sand/small stone on the road.

but outside can be repair, but cost money.

there is one solution to your problem.

Glass polish compound and polishing wheel.

Technique you might be interested in.

but take note, if you cannot do properly, you might make it worse.

Those polishing stuff, you can shop around, try autobac.

they might have those stuff.

There are tons of people doing those thing out there.

sim ming, ang mo kio industrial park, katib bukit etc...

Get professional to do it, you can either accumulate more scratch and do it all at one go.

if it is really irratating, do it as you please.

Most car grooming workshop can do it for you.

but i would pick 3M.

3M

I never tried replacing one solar film.

I guess you got to check with the one install for you.

the solar film got so many brand ranging from cheap to good.

I never really go and care too much about it.

Get a good one, if not, dun bother installing it.

no purpose waste cash.

Autoglym Car Glass Polish (Blue label) - works good. but negative points would be the white powder dust, after you wipe off. [mad]

To share my experience. I got a long hairline scratch (couldnt feel it with my fingernail, but irritating enough visually) on my civic's windscreen. Called Mr Ng from http://eglass.bravehost.com/ to get his team to come down to get it fixed.

Now the scratch is only visible if i look very hard. Good job done by them. Recommended!

i seem to have some streaks of "stains" on my windscreen which is visible when the windscreen is wet. Tried to use those windscreen cleaner but cant seem to remove them.

Anyone encountered this as well? Any suggestions on how to get rid of it?
