Supercharged

So tell me who had fail so badly and how much do they cost and how much are they sold at?? go and have a look.

Most of your so call failure actually had their value inflated when they left. if they did not improve when in liverpool i wonder how come their value will improve.

dont forget, unlike the other tops 7 team in EPL, liverpool is the only team that have to sell in order to buy player.

Actually the problems all lies with no fit and proper club owners..

So many EPL teams operate with massive losses and debts and paying players with sky rocket salaries does not help...

The Tom and Dick American owners are unfortunately dubious, not fit and proper, like siphoning monies away from Liverpool,

Rafa needs better scouts. Now he realises how little he has to spend, so he really has to work his transfer budget.

If he could have saved up to buy a few really good and PROVEN players, we could've done better, maybe even sneaked the league title last season.

Also, he needs to learn to fit players into his formation. Or, better yet, fit the formation for the players.

He complained about Keane not being his real choice. But he is just too rigid and could not use Keane effectively.

The guy can't play upfront like Torres or Crouch.

Lastly, I still think Gerrard isn't playing in the correct position.

Contridict to what you believe, he had all along know that he has puny transfer kit. The problem with this season is that the cash owner promise him was suddenly cut off after buying Aqualani.

So where do you think Kean should be playing? Note that there is a reason why Keane is loan to Celtic in Spurs important year in challenging for the title. His Resume suggest that he is not suitable to play for Big Teams base on in track record from Inter to Pool. He had so far only flourish in lesser Team like Spurs (before they become great of cause).

Also where do you think Gerrad should be playing? Anyway apparently everyone played Gerrard out of position including varies England international Managers

In the current system, I think the only ones benefitting are the back four and Mascherano.

Gerrard gets marked out easily when playing in the advanced role and that is how some teams stop the supply through the centre.

He should play centre with Mascherano who plays slightly deeper. I still don't quite understand Benitez's 4-2-3-1 formation. It's poor in breaking down tough defences. Anyway, in a 4-4-2, he plays better on the right flank. In other formations, it's hard to say. They need to make more use of his crossing and long-range shooting abilities.

Keane could have fit the more advanced role in the hole behind the striker. Keane could also play on the flank in Babel's position.

Both Lucas and Aquilani are not good enough to replace Alonso's range of passing. They only have more energy/stamina.

Their short passes mean nothing to the pace of the attack as it gives opponents time to regroup and reorganise. Maybe good for counter-attacking as the goal against Benfica showed.

Lately, they have improved their inter-play especially on the right when Maxi and Johnson play. So no complaints there.

However, I think the 1-striker strategy is not working out well in the BPL because the 2 outside forwards are not good enough to penetrate thick BPL defences. Even with good crossing, they are not as incisive as players like Malouda, Valencia or even Walcott who can run into the box. Babel is trying his best this season already but his left-foot crossing sucks - Riera was better. Johnson is more incisive than Kuyt down the right in getting into the box but should shoot more. Maxi is still my main man for the off-the-ball running though he doesn't shoot much. I'm glad they signed him. Benayoun is looking more inconsistent now with Babel and Maxi in good form.

I greatly agree with you on this one. however, the problem is our dear Captain think that he is bigger than Liverpool, hence 2 season back, he threaten Benetize of exiting if he is not in his prefer position (note i say prefer not natural or right position).

but i do agree, 4-4-2 is the strongest formation Liverpool can get this year.

I think for Keane case, he is more of a disappointment. Lets be frank, last season, with alonso around, Gerrard is going to get the hole behind the striker position and rightly so. As for keane, he had been played on the left wings, but still cannot perform.

Anyway He is a sacrificial lamb in the power struggle. plus my best friend who is a Man U fan told me when we buy Keane, its not a good buy as he is famous for causing dressing room unrest if he is not the captain. Look at how well liverpool played after he had left. If Manure had not gone on a 12 match 1-0 winning streak, liverpool would had won the title last season.

As for Lucas and Aquilani, i think we need to give them more time, especially Aquaman, after all he is capable of doing the long passes Alonso is able to do. He had done it a few time this season, but too bad, he is being used sparingly think partly due to rafa wanted to protect him and partly because he got injury phobia.

the only problem i have with Riera this season is, whenever he start, he sucks, i wonder what happen durign the turn of summer. He did not perform and expect to be given a starting 11. personally i will not mind havin kyut as right wing if Johnson play, he provide a good cover for Johnson when ever he moved forward.

Anyway dispite what other ppl is saying, i find liverpool to be playing a highly attacking style. 4-4-2 will always become 2-4-4 while 4-2-3-1 will become 2-2-3-3. hence we are lossing points from counter attack from both flank.

The funny thing at liverpool message board is one min they are saying all the goals are leaking from johnson side, the next moment all the goals are leaking from Insu side. But one thing is certain, the ppl calling for rafa head or critising the players are almost 100% not from or living in the city of Liverpool.

Yes, I think his head has grown too big. He thinks he is Mr Liverpool yet he is not a commanding figure in the team. Carragher is more captain material. The team plays better as a unit when he's not playing.

Aquilani's creativity is not evident yet because his execution has been poor. Let's see how he recovers from his ankle problems.

Kuyt is still only an average player who has over-achieved. It's quite clear to me that Maxi is more effective down the right. However, I applaud Kuyt's commitment to defence. But isn't he a forward? He needs to shoot more and improve his crossing. His heading is pretty good. Riera is merely an impact player from the bench, when the others are tiring. If they play 2 DMs, then one can cover Johnson when he is going down the right, and the right winger can go in as well. They are still not penetrating enough.

Overall, I think they pass the ball too slowly. They seriously miss Alonso's long-range passing that helped to make up for their slow transition from defence to attack.

Liverpool now sucks.. Period...

To get back to top-4 in EPL, all they need is new owners with more $$$, and most importantly a new manager.

at least for this season

I was hopping we will have a better next season. frankly speaking i believe when Aquilani is fully fit and on form, the player to benifit the most will be lucas as i think his play will suit aquilani.

for Kuyt, i prefer him to be playing as one of the 2 striker.

Anyway i am not sure about the other fans, but for me, when we sold Alonso i know we will be struggling for top 4 position, but what i did not imagine is that we will be missing so many first team player [sweatdrop]
