Hi Benny,

I've #845 and want to cut down on the number of stuffs on my car.

For regular maintenance, when the water no longer beads, I would just wax over or need to apply some sort of cleaner first?

Would you recommend a cleaner wax or a pure cleaner? Do you have any recommendations?

Stuffs I have in my storeroom : Mequair's cleaner wax, Autoglym SRP, HiGlaze88, Armorall auto wash.

Thanks.

Hi Magnus..I suggest do a prep again if you find the water bead start to shear off..If you top another layer of 845 without any cleaner..it may not last again which I have tested..

A cleaner wax will do..Meguair or SRP is good enough..I have not try hi-glaze but it semms to have some cleaner in it as well..Try to do this step once a month..use a detailer to maintain between washes..

Hi,

After we are done with the 845, do we need to clean the spray head (by maybeo pumping water over?) or leave it on the 845 bottle? If leave it at the 845 bottle, will it dry out and stuck the spray head? thanks!

Newbie here.

In terms of water beading, I find that Duragloss ES beads better than AW.

How about Collinite Spray wax?

Hi Jpcc..ES will bead better becos it is a sealant.. AW more of a topper.. Collinite is a wax to be apply on and buff off but we make it with a spray head for easy use..

benny, is there any adverse effect to add in DG speed detailer into the collinite insulator wax for easier application????

after shaking, i still have the spluttering effect when i use the spray nozzle. This makes the car windows and windscreen very messy... therefore i added a substantial amount of detailer into the insulator wax to dilute it and make it more user frenly....

will there be any adverse effect to minimise the capability of the insulator wax?

so far, my observation is nothing, but thats becos my car is seldom out in the sun and rain nowadays....

Hi Ivan..I wont recommend to mix any QD in it..May you can try to shake the bottle well and let it turn liquid..spray it on cloth instead..actually 845 is to be use with applicators for application but we have a spray head for easy use.. ^_^

im using the DG spray head from previous used DG bottle. so u wld recommend to shake more to make it watery???

Spray to cloth, the cloth absorb a certain portion liao... making the cloth hard to wash....

add water oso no?

benny, between 476 n 915 which is more durable? can just apply after car wash?

personally i find 476 more durable. but then it depends on the color of paint.if yours is a dark color paintwork, and u wan the depth of the color then go for 915. if u want just gloss then go for 476. 915 work best on dark color cars cos it bring out the depth of the color.

i would not advise to apply after car wash as the surface may not be prepared for the wax to settle. if u are looking for quick wax, i would suggest DG aquawax instead.
