  1. Looking to buy Collinite wax. Do you know of a distributor or seller in Singapore? Thanks.
  2. The shipping is as much as the wax itself if order from ebay or amazon. Anybody bringing the products into singapore?
  3. I read that 915 is glossier than 845. 915 supposedly gives a wetter look than 845. So all along I have been using 915, on my silver car. Tried 845 the other day and WOW. The "wet" look is amazing compared to the 915. 915 just gave me the normal shiny look. 845 gave me the properly waxed look. Love it. Waxed with 915 feels smoother to my hand, but doesn't look as nice. What am I doing wrongly with the 915? Application is by hand through out.
  4. We all know 845 is the most easiest to use wax among collinite range..application and removing is like a breeze..I came across one autopian mentioning using collinite 845 insulator as a spray wax..Hmmm..something special to me..i decide to give it a try...I converted the normal cap to a spray head..The spray head from my QD and AW fitted nicely on to collinite 845 bottles..I shake it well until it turns really into liquid form.. I switch it to mist form and it came out nicely.. Next I use a mf cloth to wipe..is exactly like using a QD or AW..Very easy..no residual..no haze nothing..spray on and wipe..The result came out was equally nice..this method really works..I am amaze with the result..we did on a red Golf today..No prep but just wash with PLAIN WATER..I just realise no shampoo has been use.. I apply and wipe..it came out nice and i receive a call later in the afternoon..owner was quite happy with the result... I feel that the end result maybe similar as we leave it to haze but the best part is having it works like a spray wax indeed save us some energy and time..I took some pic of the Golf but due to my poor HP camera..There were nothing to be seen.. If you have the insulator wax..try this on...
  5. as above. thinking about how to further improve the wet gilat look. it seems i reach a threshold. the car looks good but still cant match many wet cars i see in the mscp, i ever touch some ot them and they feel rough, wonder how they did it. some bros tell me prep work is 90%, i have done my best with claybar and dg101. followed by collinite 915 and aquawax. how can i further improve. is this the limitation of hand polish or do i now need to go to machine? suspect i am going to the dark side though.
  6. Hi All, Not a professional Detailer nor a Photographer. Just someone who loves his car. Wash, Clay, Polish and finish with Collinite 915 Wax.

  9. Slowmo

    Collinite #845

Very excited, must post this... after the very unfortunate incident when I met up with Bro MD that evening (bro, after I left, I had to throw away the shoes. ) I must say I am very impressed with this wax. The shine is unbelievable! Though I might be using it wrongly, anyone can advise why there are some 'streaks' left over even after I buff? It is still very shiny, but seems that I need to take a lot longer to buff. Will try to get pics of the result later though I think I suck at taking pics of car
  10. Some of us may encounter a little hazy after a day with Collinite#476 on the bonnet. This is what you can do to solve it. 1)Apply #476 2)Before buffing it away, spray DG#951 AW on it.Spread it with the applicator 3)Buff everything off.. Second 1)Instead of damping the wax applicator, spray a bit of #951AW on the applicator 2)Apply wax with the applicator damp with #951AW .. 3)Dun drools For DG#105 1)Use #101 to clean up surface. 2)If you are using #601 PBA,apply it after buffing #101 away.Let PBA haze for at least 15mins. 3)Spray a bit of #951 AW on the applicator,if you have those mist sprayer, spray a bit on surface, 4)Dun need to buff away PBA 5)Apply #105 6)Haze for 15mins and remove. 7)Dun drools
  11. some info to share,I should add in #845 as well http://autopia.org/forum/detailing-product...5-vs-915-a.html
  12. Currently using 845, the result is indeed good. However some uneven patches occur while buffing, even when done panel by panel. Was advised to use a QD to aid the buffing process, but I wonder if the QD I using (FK425) will strip off the 845 as I'm not sure if 425 contains cleaning agents?? Secondly, will weekly shampooing affect my 845 layering? Am using Autoglym Shampoo currently. Bottom Line, Collinite 845 I topped Collinite Marque D
  13. Ok so I have gotten both the Collinite paste-based 476 and the liquid based 845 waxes now. And I have applied a layer of 845 on my light blue ride... the result is that before, my car reflection is mono-tone but now the 845 reflection is full technicolour detail. Ok so how should I proceed with the layering of wax now? 1) 845 followed by multiple coats of 845? 2) 845 followed by 476? 3) 845 followed by Aquawax?
  14. Any bros care to share their experience with this 2 products?
  15. This morning washed the car with mild shampoo and rinse off with water. Is really amazing wax. As u rinse, the water simply follow off. See the left over water on my car boot. Unbelievable!! Save alot of time drying the car.
  16. This morning started to try my new toy : Collinite 476 paste wax. Since my ride's was in perfect condition, so I only need to do: 1. Good washing 2. claybarring using QD as lub 3. one layer of Collinite 476 paste wax It's very easy to apply but u need to use damp applicator, at first using a sponge type but seems not easy to apply then I switch to a damp MF appliator and it's more easy to apply. Instead of panel by panel I did it one side by one side. I mean after applied the whole left hand side and I started to buff off then go to the right hand side. 1. Left side 2. Right side 3. Roof Top 4. Bonnet & back door. Buff off is very easy and seems if u let it haze a longer time the more easy to buff. The result: Shiny & Wet. Water beading & sheeting : Back home from Bt. Batok by AYE around 4 pm. The whole journey was heavy rain, but the rain was stopped when I almost home. Very surprise that after I parked my ride and find there's only a few drops of water I need to wipe.............wow super &

  18. While waiting for the Collinite 845 to come, I prepare the car yesterday afternoon first: 1) Wash with Meguair NXT car shampoo and claybar with Erazer claybar 2) AIO 3) Meguair #21 Did a quickie, all done in 2 hours. Both are great products, easy to use and no powder. Finally yesterday evening, finally lay my hand on the collinite #845 Very easy to apply, a little bit can cover a very large area, and spread quite easily except that it is quite transparent. Took me only 15mins. Waited about 15 to 20mins, the 845 dry to a hazy look. Wiping off is just like AIO, very easy and no powder. Fantastic product. Leave a warmer gloss with a greater depth than Meguair #21. The slickness is fantastic, buttery smooth, unlike synthetic sealant which give you just slick only. PS: All done with hand, no machine. All the above products are chosen for their ease of use and powder free when wiping off. Good reference for those who are like me with not much time on hand to do detailing yet want to maintain a decent gloss. Btw, pics is taken with SonyEricsson K800i. Now we wait for rain to see what this 845 can do
  19. Hi guys, I just ordered some of this stuff from Autogeek and while I excitedly await for the goods to arrive, may I know if anyone in Singapore has tried it out before? How the gloss and shine? The durability as good as it's rated? Is it easy on and easy off? I am thinking of using it to replace my KSG. What are your views? Thanks!
  20. Hi Sisters & Brothers, Anyway to get this Collinite wax here in Singapore. Or anyone want to sell ?? MarcosTan Toyota Rav4
  21. After reading through a few forum, there seems to be a pretty good review on Collinite #885 Fleetwax and #845 Insutation Wax, LONGEST LASTING Carnauba wax . Very tempted to order but before doing that just checking any bro or sis here has tried this product and willing to give some feedback. Especially Bro Genie47 seems to have mentioned about this wax the most in this forum.
