Kiadaw 6th Gear April 26, 2010 Share April 26, 2010 COE expired in 2 years. You intend to renew or scrap? Now COE very high, not sure how will it be 2 years later. Insurance should be quite high for this car. Since its a turbo car, probably need service every 5k km. Parts on performance cars seems to wear faster, & more costly to replace. Not particular experience in S15. Maybe can check the Silvia community (if there is one) in Singapore.

Jeleburacer Neutral Newbie April 27, 2010 Share April 27, 2010 Good deal, SR20 a lots of aftermarket parts. But insurance can be sky high due to classify under sporty and high risk.

XALmoN Neutral Newbie October 25, 2010 Share October 25, 2010 think about your insurance premiums too. fuelwise, you'll get about 9km/L or less, depending on how heavy your foot is. as for oil changes, 7000km once, road tax for 2L not that exxy, its the insurance that kills i reckon. XALmoN Neutral Newbie October 25, 2010 Share October 25, 2010 the SR20 is also a tougher motor than the flat4 subaru offers.
Vhtfhwlego Supercharged October 25, 2010 Share October 25, 2010 Try WRX, can modded to 300+WHP with only 3-4K using used parts. Wrx STI closest comparison is eVo. For WRX, is it not worth to pay for something so basic, need to mod so much and heavy on insurance. any young drivers can find a car which cheap in insurance, 6speed manual, and with a 2.3T which is faster then WRX? I got an answer.
Readonly Neutral Newbie October 25, 2010 Share October 25, 2010 Hi all, I would also like to know the following too, I did went to the given web site, but couldn't find much information. And i can only post after 24 hrs making a new account there. LOL. you can wait and post at the website with your queries. but i think it will be hard to get such high loan for a car thats left with 2 yrs. so got to prepare some downpayment for such cars. easier to get wrx or evo, just not as rare and nice as the silvia
Fusheng87 Neutral Newbie October 25, 2010 Share October 25, 2010 well, i am really in love with silvia. therefore i am thinking about it, i think the fuel and installment wise shouldnt cause much of a problem. it's the road tax and insurance renewal that kills. ↡ Advertisement
