Ferraricalifornia 1st Gear May 16, 2010 Share May 16, 2010 QQ latest generation is quite well built i must say.... however, it still loses out to the 2010 Facelift Kia Picanto Sports model in terms of looks, branding and overall refinement.... ↡ Advertisement
Rickster86 Neutral Newbie May 16, 2010 Share May 16, 2010 My opinion is pay slightly more for picanto or getz for more overall space and reliability issue. Maintenance wise is quite low n cheap. Most importantly, safety is the most critical issue. Qq is known for poor braking and Up to date china car got big time AC failure issues. Visiting workshop for remedy = waste time n $$

Tohto Hypersonic May 17, 2010 Share May 17, 2010 (edited) want to buy my QQ? sept 2009 registered. Ever drove @ 130km/hr on QQ 0.8A haha.. who say qq cannot hit, it depends whether you have the balls to drive that fast on a QQ. Driving at the speed with the engine screaming for help, whole car shaking, what is the point. At least the Kia picanto still feel very comfort and stable when travel at 120km/h, I know it because my father own one. It just pass 5 yrs old and still no problem. Tigerwoods Turbocharged May 17, 2010 Share May 17, 2010 To all the QQ drivers out there. How is your ride performing so far? 1) FC? 2) Maintenance? 3) I heard all my friends telling me tales about how a QQ with 4 people being unable to go up a MSCP =X scary if it is really true. But yet some tell me QQ can make it till Genting Highland. Advices please. Hi Avantiz, http://www.sgcarmart.com/used_cars/info.ph...915&DL=1023, I have owned an 800cc car before - a Suzuki, my very 1st car long ago. Power is good enough and no problem going up any car park. Don't worry about anyone here telling you no power, 0~100 = 25secs etc. 0~100km/h ? Don't bother with this as its not important. China cars is better than Boleh land one. Go ahead and buy it if you need to be freed from Public Transport. Tell me about it if you bot it.
Pocus Turbocharged May 17, 2010 Share May 17, 2010 Technique of driving qq up a steep slope, switch off aircon, turn to manual gear and ramp up on 1st gear or stay semi auto (I don't call that AMT auto as it is only semi-auto) and ramp, sure can go up. AMT for chery qq is not auto. becos even when on 1st gear release brake, the car won't move one. it is only gear engage. Full auto cars when release brake will move forward. Same for reverse gear, won't move unless u press accelarator or definitely on a slope la. Also if the car jerk like crazy, go back to vertex to reset AMT, then ok liaoz. This is the bug. To do so many action just to go up a slope smoothly........I think this is a bloody good testimontal from an actual QQ owner on how the car is like. This testimonial should answer your questions. it's your call.

Eman87 Neutral Newbie May 27, 2010 Share May 27, 2010 Maybe bcuz u are using gear 2.. If u noe the slope is steep use gear 1.. mine is 0.8 AMT and goin up iluma is a breeze (using gear 1), no problems even with 4 adults. As for my fc, its 14.5 km/l. Highest was 15.3. Petrol using 95. Air con 80%, highway 60% at avg speed of 100km/h. Car is very much comfortable at 80-90 km/h. Engine break is hard and acceleration is sloww but i guess thats wat u get for a small cc. Overall its a good ride for personal transportation to work, sch and home.

A pic is onlt 39,999 for >20k coe... how much cheaper does 1 expect for their car? Not trying to stereotype, but those who chose QQ were likely wanting to save $ on the car, so $$ spent on repairs later should have been an important consideration. Well, still it depends on how one handles the car to ensure that all the parts are well taken care of. I didn't spend much on repairing only for normal servicing. This car is serving me well for almost 4 years and counting... =) ↡ Advertisement
