im sure some bros here have watched Inception and am sure it could be one of the best movie of 2010 so far. It kept many people thinking right after the ending i guess.

 

so whats u guys take bout the ending?

did Cobb came back to reality or was he still inside the dream? some people even said that the whole movie was actually inside Cobbs limbo after all.

 

but anyway its really the best original movie so far for such a long time. thanks chris nolan!

Don't mean to be a cold blanket but the idea is not so original - a dream within a dream, a world within a world.... try searching for the movie - Thirteenth Floor, Dark City. :)

 

Nevertheless, 'Inception' is indeed a gripping movie, keeps you in your seat.

i guess most people will only tink about whether cobbs is still in limbo or in reality as the ending cuts off from the spinning top. that is just the director's way of leaving it open-ended so that u can have ur own interpretations and allows u to tink bout it.

 

for me, what kept me tinking is not about the ending, but about the fact that film is a way of escaping from realities, our own realities. This was shown when mal throws deep questions at cobb asking if having faceless corporations chasing somebody around isn't yet another dream state. aren't all the movies that we watch a form of escaping from our realities?? films at its best is its own sort of dream state, a place where fantastic things occur, an imagined place we as movie goers share and perceive differently and fill it wif our own subconscious views and interpretations.

another way of looking at the whole movie is that we might just be watching an limbo view of cobbs and that in actual fact we are watching cobbs dreaming all along, the contents he fills his dream scape, and that mal is actually trying her best to get her husband back into reality by entering the various levels of his dreams. if u catch the movie again and try to look at it at this angle, u may be pleasantly surprise...

Theres no perfect answer to it

 

use Cobb kids face,his wedding ring,the scene where Saito reaching the gun when Cobb asked him wana b young again,

the todem when he said b4 if used others is useless n he mentioned b4 he do not have 1 etc to link about the ending

 

actually the film is not to let us guess about ending

 

its to see how Cobb find his reality after Mal

 

it cant b all along his limbo as its imperfect in the beginning as his perfect reality is to see his kids like ending which made viewers thinking was it limbo or reality as he mentioned b4 limbo is state of perfect dream n the reality that they do not know inside its not a reality as it projection of the perfectness from them

 

thats y Saito in his limbo he is so powerful

I dun understand why Fisher died in level 3 and then went into a 4th layer of dream just to revive Fisher. Fusher was killed in level 3 and not fall asleep in level 3. How could a kick in the 4th layer of dream bring Fisher back?

 

If they can bring Fisher back to live by kicking him in the 4th layer of the dream, why can't they do the same for Sato??

 

Why do Cobb has to go all the way to his limbo state before he can locate Sato and then kick him back to reality?

coz in 3rd to 4th dream..1 sec in 3rd is like years in 4th...thats why Saito is so old and Saito did say he remembered someone told him about some agreement remember?

 

Mal kept appeared coz Cobb couldn't get her out of his guilt,thats why she always is his injection. thats why i said near ending...he wasnt wearing any ring which showed he is out of his guilt from Mal to reality already..a point to take note also..it might be his own todem..the top is Mal's one remember?

 

thats why there's some issues supporting he is back to reality and in Limbo...both got it's valid reasons

actually this movie is very good...it require viwers to pay v good attention in detaisl..yet ending let u figure out..stroke of genius in the story/scene and little details..no doubt

oh another thing to take note..

 

the sedative by right is 10 hours same as the flight..

 

but when Cobb woke up, it was announced 30 mins to reach the airport..

 

so meaning...from the cut scene where old Saito was reaching the gun to Air plane scene, Cobb might get killed to go into his Limbo..

 

coz without kick during the sedative, Cobb and Saito is impossible to wake up..however he might get killed during the 930hours to send him to Limbo..where his reality is to see his chidlren face (remember why ending still in same clothings etc like his earlier projection of his last seen them when he leave the house?)

 

1 got 1 qn only..how Cobb go into Saito Limbo?coz of the dream machine they sharing?

the movie brings out the potential of the sub-conscious mind and the stages of sleep that we experience everyday. How many of us actually experience dream within a dream? that where the guy with the illusionation drug can take the dream into deeper stage.....

Mal brought Fisher to her limbo world?? How did she do that?? She only shoot Fisher and she can bring Fisher to her limbo world. How come when Fisher dies, Fisher should go into his own limbo world and not Mal limbo world.

How can Saito be in limbo at level 1. He did not die in level 1.

He only died in level 3.

If Fisher died in level 3 and they went to Cobb's dream to revive Fisher, why can't they do the same for Saito? Why must Cobb go into another dimension of dream to locate Saito???

Mal was shot after that by Cobb,so they are into next dimension together

 

 

This is what Cobb said to the girl that Mal brought Fisher away..as Cobb projection of Mal is she wanted to use Fisher as lure to lure him to her world..remembered this part?

 

Saito died in the van when he was shot initially..thats why he kept vomit blood in level 2 and 3..end up in Level 1 he died,and therefore all 3 level he died and go into Limbo,he was not shot at all in level 2 and 3..remembered?

 

thats a question for me why n how Cobb go into Saito Limbo which i not sure in this part..which i guess is coz of the Dream Machine
