What temperature do you set for air con?

just being curious, does setting the temperature lower means fuel consumption is higher, higher temperature means low fuel consumption? or is it the same amount of fuel consumption regardless of any temperature?

 

I think the difference between ambient temp vs cabin temperature to be set determine the work rate. The bigger the differences, the more work to be done, logically speaking.

 

 

Also I think air con required more power than heater, so you do the maths

 

So lower temperature not necessary means more fuel consumption. In local context, probably yes. Since almost always the outside temperature is warmer than cabin temperature to set (anytime of the day).

I think must say wat car lah also.

 

My previous hyundai matrix no digital readout, set the temp knob to coldest always and play with fan speed.

Most of time at level 2 (I think total level 4) and max fan speed during hot days.

Matrix aircon no good always feel hot.

 

Current ride camry set to auto 24 deg irregardless of outside temp.

Toyota air con much more powerful.

 

i experienced the same for my collora then change to accord.

Not to sure abt other makes, toyota hybrids uses invertor aircon.

No temperature to set leh? But the most ideal is to wind down windows and drive faster when its hot.

 

When coming to a stop.... well then thats another problem.

temp min for me....i only change the fan speed when required ...
