Insurance rebate

hi all, just to enquire how long will it take for an insurance to calculate and return back the insurance rebate?

 

Been waiting for like weeks nearly a month... thanks

call up the insurance company, should return you less than 1 month.

 

What rebate you looking at? cancellation? some insurance are on short-rate, not pro-rate, short-rate == more than 8months in-force = no rebate.

wad do u mean by short rate n results to no rebate?

how long your insurance is in-force? usually most insurance are "short-rate", so you wont get any rebate if it is 8 months in-force.

5th to 6th weeks..u will get it

provided the insurance is less than 7 mths old,if i rem correctly

 

they got formulae to calculate

but its not much lah

better than nothing

I tink shud be 2-3weeks....

 

Last time I sold my ride n cancelled my insurance abt 6mths in force...

 

I got back 50% back within 2weeks....not bad ya:)

what do you mean by "it's not much"? isn't it a pro-rated refund, before the 8th mth?

renewable every aug

i cancelled it in march

paid 1150.

got back only 320 plus plus only

 

that is provided u insure back with the same insurance company for ur new / 2nd hand ride when u sold off ur current ride

which ins coy? What would you reckon the refund to be if the policy was renewed but cancelled after 1 week due to sale of the car?

i got back about $485, 1/2 of the premium paid for 6 mths unused. insure back with them again or the rebate will be lesser.
